Mint Blockchain submits new EIP Asset Standard

Mint Blockchain has officially submitted a new EIP asset standard, ERC-7765, to the Ethereum developer community. This proposal introduces a standardized way to issue NFTs that represent real-world assets, making it easier to connect blockchain technology with physical items. With this new standard, holders of these NFTs will have specific privileges tied to the real-world asset, such as the ability to redeem onchain products for real-world use. This could open up new possibilities for businesses looking to sell physical products on-chain while providing customers with a secure, verifiable way to redeem them. Learn more here.

Superchain Interop Is coming

Optimism has announced that Superchain Interop is coming soon, allowing app developers to connect to all users and assets across the entire Superchain with a single integration. This new feature eliminates the need for network switching and bridges, making it feel like you're using one chain. Users will be able to move assets like NFTs and tokens easily across different OP Chains. Learn more about Interop here.

Celo Alfajores L2 Testnet

The Celo L2 Testnet, Alfajores, is now live, bringing faster block times, enhanced data availability with EigenDA, and leveraging the OP-Stack codebase. With 1-second block times and 30M gas per second, Alfajores offers aN environment for node operators and developers to test and ensure compatibility ahead of the Celo L2 Mainnet launch in early November 2024. All nodes must be updated before the mainnet launch to avoid disruptions. Learn more about Celo L2 here.

OSO Impact Metrics Retro Funding 5

Open Source Observer has introduced a new set of impact metrics to support Retro Funding 5, focusing on contributions to the OP Stack. The metrics are divided into three key categories. The first includes basic GitHub stats, offering a snapshot of each project's stars, forks, and other repository details as of September 23, 2024. The second category looks at contributor counts, identifying unique, non-bot contributors over the project's lifetime and the past six months, while also highlighting trusted contributors. The final category features trust-weighted metrics, developed in collaboration with OpenRank, which rank developer contributions based on their trust scores. For a full overview of the metrics, check out the complete list here.
