Last week, we kicked off the Builderdrop with the 30M $TALENT pool. In just a few days, these tokens were distributed to onchain builders as part of the Summer of $TALENT.

The goal of the $TALENT Builderdrop was to get $TALENT tokens into the hands of the most reputable and committed builders to empower the Talent Protocol community.

A total of 30M $TALENT tokens were allocated for the Builderdrop (~5% of the total $TALENT supply). The pool included four main categories:

1. Retroactive Airdrop: distributed $TALENT tokens among Talent Protocol OG members based on past contributions to the Talent Protocol community and the reputation earned within the Talent Protocol ecosystem. Tokens in this category are 100% unlocked at TGE.

2. Community Round Ticket: members had the the opportunity to acquire $TALENT tokens and demonstrate their commitment to the project. There were 4 tiers of tickets: $100, $250, $500, $1,000. Tokens in this category have a 25% unlock at TGE and a linear 3-month vesting period.

3. Community Round Ticket Bonus: each tier of tickets had a bonus on top. 20% for $250, 25% for $500, and 30% for $1,000 tokens in this category are 100% unlocked at TGE.

4. Builder Bonus, for participation in Community Round: if you decided to put some skin in the game and buy $TALENT, Talent Protocol matched your commitment with a minimum Builder Bonus of 2x up to 3x, depending on your Builder Score (snapshot was taken on Saturday, July 13th). Builder Bonus is added on top of the existing allocation and applies to everyone who joined the Community Round. Tokens in this category are 100% unlocked at TGE.

Distribution & Eligibility

Builderdrop (categories 1, 3 and 4)

$TALENT tokens earned in this Builderdrop will show up in your Talent Passport Wallet. To be eligible to claim these tokens after TGE, participants must have a Human Checkmark in their Talent Passport profile. To have the checkmark you need to meet one or more of the following criteria:

1. Coinbase Verified ID: The user must have a verified account on Coinbase and have completed identity verification (KYC).

2. World ID: The user must have completed the Proof of Personhood verification with Worldcoin.

3. Gitcoin Passport Humanity Score: The user must own a Gitcoin Passport with a score of 15 or higher.

4. Other proof of humanity credentials added to the Talent Passport in the future.

Only those who fulfill one or more of these criteria will be eligible to claim airdropped $TALENT tokens. The airdropped tokens must be claimed within 4 weeks after the claim is live. Any unclaimed tokens will be burned.

Community Round (category 2)

All the $TALENT tokens purchased in the Community Round have been credited to participants' Talent Passport Wallets. The tokens will be available for claiming according to the Community Round vesting schedule.

To be eligible to claim these $TALENT tokens at TGE, participants must successfully pass the KYC process here.

The KYC process will be available until TGE and for a short period of time after TGE. After the KYC window closes, issues will be addressed on a case-by-case basis, requiring more time to resolve it.

We highly recommend completing the KYC as soon as possible before TGE. The current KYC completion rate is nearly 92%.

What's next for Talent Protocol?

The $TALENT token is the incentive to create and curate high quality data, and the coordination mechanism that keeps the Talent Protocol ecosystem clean from bots and bad data.

The $TALENT TGE is expected to take place by the end of Summer 2024. As laid out in the Talent Protocol 2-year roadmap, we will introduce the first and some of the most important utilities for the $TALENT token coming months.
