NFT has been a significant part of the web3 ecosystem. For Concave, several sorts of NFT collections have been minted out, such as PONPAVE, SPOONCAVE, PONPAVE PENGUINS, etc. So we have to think how could the community enrich the usage of those NFT collections. Based on the fact that Concave has the plan to create NFT games in the future, a lot of thinking has been done recently.
After Gamefi entered the tragic downward channel of @AxieInfinity, everyone was discussing what the next Gamefi 2.0 would look like. From my perspective, if Concave plan to make a game with existing NFTs, it should have at least a few of the following elements:
Make the game fun to play. Dilute the concept of P2E (play to earn), and target games with higher average scores on Steam to be really fun and to attract mainstream gamers. This is the real significance of Gamefi's existence. If the core of the game is to earn, it might as well be called ponzi or defi in a game shell.
NFT burn mechanism. Refer to @crypto_raiders, there will be permanent death in it. Players who have played the Diablo hardcore mode know that even you have been practicing for a long time, it is still possible when you run out to take difficult tasks, and you have to practice again. This is an excellent solution to the current NFT expansion, but it also requires a corresponding insurance mechanism to ensure relative safety.
Non-3A games. 3A requires a lot of cost, manpower, time and technology. This kind of labor-intensive work can be done by large companies. What Crypto needs to solve is the problem of decentralization and redistribution of interests. The lowest cost pixel style is ok, like @NiftyLeague @Worldwide_WEB3 looks just as fun.
Multi-platform and multi-game interface. This is particularly important, and it is also the most imaginative and differentiated point of Chain Games compared to traditional games. Specifically, the game can support multiple platforms and diverse game types, PC/mobile/host, MMO/FPS/card/MOBA, as long as the underlying assets are consistent. This is also the concept that @lootproject hit before. The same role, you play MMO on the computer, play cards on the mobile phone, obtain different resources, and finally converge into one token value, which will be an unprecedented gaming experience.
To-B business model. Some games appear to cooperate with NFT/defi projects to combine the business model from simply to-C business to to-B business. For example, there are so many NFT projects saying that they want to do metaverse, do we really need so many metaverse? Not necessarily. If there are high-quality games that can integrate these NFT projects, and produce different content and perks for different projects, only then can we concentrate on doing big things. For another example, using games to simplify the complexity of defi itself, is what @DeFi_Land @DefiKingdoms is doing. After the existing platform is built, more basic defi projects will definitely be connected in the future. Here you can see uniswap/aave/compound.
Comprehensive game tutorial. @DefiKingdoms has done a great job on this. There is a complete set of operation guides from wallet + browser + on-chain, which is to tell you "our game is so good that there are a large number of non-crypto users and 0 experienced gamers will also come to play, as for I have to come up with a complete tutorial", this is the pattern.
Above, think of these for a while, that’s probably what Concave could do with the NFT games. Make the defi act as a game and people with different NFT roles could stake or do other defi related things in the game. WAGMI!
