Growing up in a small, close-knit community, I never imagined becoming part of a global movement reshaping the future of the internet. Yet, that is exactly how I felt when I first encountered Ethereum in 2018. A small group of hardcore believers, dreamers, idealists, and techno-optimists, working together towards a better future.
Back then, I didn’t really understand, nor could I ever foresee the potential of Ethereum. I’ve been in crypto for 7 years, 3 years with ENS, building, investing, researching, contributing, helping around, advocating, and then building some more.
I'm not gonna pretend I've been building in Ethereum since the early days. I'm by no means an OG builder. But I'm privileged enough to have been a part of the community in the early days and now to be an active contributor to an ecosystem I deeply care about (ENS).
From the start, I was drawn in by Ethereum’s core values: technical excellence, relevance to society (cypherpunk disruptive revolutionary nature), close collaboration, and a culture of inclusion and empowerment. Similar values kept me in ENS for 3 years now. These ideals unite a diverse, decentralized community, striving to build a fair and transparent techno-optimist future.
As Ethereum’s community continues to grow, it’s essential to preserve the unity and shared purpose that sparked this decentralized revolution.
The Ethereum ecosystem has faced its share of challenges, from debates around the Ethereum Foundation to discussions about the ENS as one of its most successful non-financial apps (as stated by Vitalik.eth himself).
However, I believe these tests have only reinforced the strength and solidarity of the ETH community.
ENS expressed this sentiment beautifully:
“It’s incredibly inspiring and motivating to see so many adding .eth to their handles as a powerful statement of solidarity with Ethereum’s core values. It is also a testament of ENS’s commitment and alignment to Ethereum.”
These words remind us that, despite obstacles, unity and shared purpose remain at the heart of Ethereum’s ethos. Standing together under the .eth banner is a testament to our commitment to decentralized principles and mutual support.
Challenges will come and go, but the principles of solidarity and resilience that underpin Ethereum remain unwavering.
“The future of Web3 is built on unity, trust, and the enduring legacy of decentralized and permissionless systems we collectively build.”
Each of us plays a role in shaping this future. Together, we ensure that Ethereum—and the broader Web3 ecosystem—continues to reflect the ideals of its foundation.
It's amazing to see so many people on Twitter embracing the support for Ethereum by changing their usernames to include their .eth addresses. This wave of support is a powerful statement of solidarity with Ethereum's core values and dedication towards decentralization, transparency, and building a more equitable world.
The small act of adding ".eth" to your username sends a clear message that you believe in the future of Ethereum, your commitment to the Ethereum ideals, and its potential to revolutionize the internet. If you want to, you can join the movement and show your support by changing your Twitter handle to include your .eth name/subname!
Let's work together to build a more secure, equitable, and user-owned internet.
Since we actively work with ENS, the most Ethereum-aligned dApp, helping it grow through building apps, and dev tools, doing partnerships and integrations, and since we wholeheartedly believe in Ethereum, we wanted to demonstrate our support in a creative and meaningful way.
As we’re preparing to ship a fun little tool that will allow anyone to spin up a quick Subname minting website in minutes, we wanted to test it ourselves. We decided to build a custom Subpage (Subname Minting Page) where people can (and should) mint a subname from stayson.eth.
I encourage you to test it by minting a Subname at: stayson.namespace.ninja
But this isn’t just about claiming a subname or us testing new product launches; well, it is, but it’s also about publicly showing your commitment and support to Ethereum as the leader in innovation, research, and building.
Either way, the point remains the same. Minting a subname under stayson.eth, you join a collective of individuals rallying around Ethereum’s core principles. Think of it as planting your flag in the ETH ecosystem and standing shoulder to shoulder with countless others who share a vision and work towards realizing that vision.
A shared sense of purpose is what drives innovation in web3.
Subnames represent a powerful tool for strengthening collective identity. Namespace is becoming a leading platform, enabling companies, communities, wallets, games, DAOs, and others to create unique identities under the beloved .eth namespace.
Subname values:
Empowering Individual Identity: subnames provide every member with a personalized handle, ensuring their presence feels unique and valued within the community.
Consistent Brand Experience: using a unified namespace, organizations present a consistent identity that reflects their vision and values.
Streamlining Operations: subnames simplify asset management, role designation, and access control within decentralized systems, making collaboration smoother and more efficient.
Brand Alignment: communities that operate under a shared namespace with a unified identity present a strong, unified front.
Supporting a cause: occasional support for .eth-aligned
Whether for businesses, DAOs, or communities, subnames amplify the sense of unity and purpose by allowing members to connect through a shared digital identity.
If you like stayson.eth page and you want to build one for you or your brand (community, DAO, group, users, etc.), you can do it by using our Subpage Template. We’ve made this process very simple. The template has a Subname minting feature built in. If you have any questions or need any help with building the page, join our Builder Chat and message Artii or Cap.
