Since its release 23 years ago, Bomberman has been blowing up adversaries and bricks in numerous mazes. For Bomberman, adjusting to the times has been a little more challenging. The Era of the Rising Web3 is now adapting its gameplay to a new title inspired by Bomberman: Bomb Crypto. Bomb games have another opportunity to become more prevalent.

What is Bomb Crypto?

Bomb Crypto is a P2E bomb game – users take control of a squad of bomb heroes trained to hunt down BCOIN and battle enemies; Built-in BSC, playable on any device, and operational since October 2021. Senspark, a 2011-founded independent Vietnamese game development firm specializing in mobile games is the creator behind Bomb Crypto. Stickman Battle 2021, All Gold Miner, Tank 1990, and Bomb Squad were the most downloaded games out of the 100 million total downloads for the titles they created.

Tokenomics and Earnings

There are two game tokens: $BCOIN and $SEN. While both tokens can earn and stake, only $BCOIN has a utility function. The value has crashed hard, but if you are concerned about the token's integrity, you may rest easy knowing that a recent audit found no problems.

Having joined the discord because I also invested last January 2022, I’ve noticed that people start to complain whenever the coin price dips causing the developers to eventually give in to their requests. While it could make them pleased in the near run, they are sacrificing the game's longevity to please short-term investors.

All of the game modes provide the ability to earn but Treasure Hunt is usually the most popular choice. This is due to the automatic feature and the increased rate of $BCOIN drop. The market is open, so you may choose to keep or sell the NFT heroes you've acquired in random maps.

Game modes, Mechanics, and Gameplay

This game will be familiar if you’ve played classic Bomberman. Planting bombs to destroy obstacles and kill monsters in a quadrangular room.

The available modes are Battle, Story, and Treasure Hunt.

Your bombers' job in Treasure Hunt is to plant bombs across the entire map in search of treasures. They will work automatically so you won't get tired. However, when they lose energy, they will begin to slumber. Therefore, a player must wait until the hero is wholly rested to relaunch it onto the map. I agree that it’s not engaging enough, but it gives higher rewards compared to the other modes.

You can follow a series of quests and maps in story mode having to battle enemies and bosses. This mode is my favorite because we can follow the story and directly control our bombers. Players must spend $BCOIN/$SEN as an entry price in the final mode: Battle. This amount is added to the entry fees of other players and becomes the prize for being the last man standing.

Graphics and Audio

Even the user interface and aesthetics are reminiscent of Bomberman and Bomb Squad. Clearer images of pixelated objects and maps will be visible, closely resembling the nostalgic feeling you'll get by playing games from the 1990s. The sound is straightforward because it primarily consists of background music and the explosive effects produced by your heroes. Be aware that by default it is really loud.
