The $TLX token generation event is expected to occur roughly 1 week from now and can be summarized by the following points:

• 6% of the total TLX supply will be airdropped

• Eligible users can claim from the TLX homepage

• Claimed tokens have no vest and are transferrable

• Users can earn TLX by locking TLX in the Genesis Locker

Token first, then protocol

Rather than diluting early community in pursuit of vanity metrics, it was decided that it would be better to just give them tokens. There will be no way to airdrop farm TLX. Nor will there be any way to earn points or off-chain incentives once the protocol is live. TLX will be decentralized and community-led from the very beginning. That means launching the token before the protocol is live.

What is TLX?

TLX is a leveraged tokens protocol that enables users to mint and redeem leveraged tokens for over 50 assets with up to 20x leverage. Built on Optimism and backed by Synthetix perps, TLX is the leveraged tokens protocol DeFi never had, but always needed.

In addition to its core product, TLX also introduces DeFi primitives such as delta-neutral LP tokens and leveraged bonding.

Airdrop

The final eligibility criteria and Snapshot will be shared once the airdrop is live. Upon token launch, users can check if they are eligible by connecting their wallet on the TLX homepage. While the final list of eligible users has yet to be confirmed, we are happy to share that users who did either of the following will be eligible:

• Voted in the Ecosystem Council Election

• Claimed Liquidation Points

Genesis Locking

Genesis Locking will be enabled upon token launch. By locking $TLX in the Genesis Locker, holders are granted the right to participate in TLX governance.

Rather than airdropping 10% of the total supply, 4% was reserved for Genesis Lockers. During the initial 26 weeks after the token launch, the entirety of this 4% allocation will be distributed to Genesis Lockers on a per-block basis and can be claimed by lockers at any time.

Claimed $TLX tokens are liquid and are not subject to any vesting. All users should read the Genesis Locker section of the docs before locking.
