We are already seeing an astonishing amount of capital being injected into the ecosystem.

Last year alone, Web3 startups raised $25 billion from VCs, DAO treasuries have swelled to more than $10 billion in funding, and this doesn’t even include the many more billions under the management of centralized institutions.

A major portion of these funds will likely be spent on talent in the form of salaries, payouts, and growing the ecosystem through grants and hackathons. It follows that every organization would target the highest ROI for these investments through better recruitment, grant distribution, and talent acquisition strategies.

However, recruitment is still one of the least researched and most under-invested areas in the industry. Sourcing, hiring, onboarding, and compensation are among the biggest headaches for any Web3 startup.

It’s not easy for talent either. Contributors find it difficult to break into the space, identify the best opportunities and build a reputation from their skills and past contributions in Web3.

It’s clear that Web3 faces a significant talent deficit. We estimate there are more than 20,000 vacancies for Web3 positions with more than $12 billion in grants waiting to be unlocked by contributors.

tr3butor wants to address these challenges by building a unique solution for talent and organizations while leveraging ones of the most exciting concepts in Web3 such as the Internet of Jobs and Soul-Bounded Tokens (SBTs).

As the World Wide Web moves to the World Wide Ledger, we will see a shift of decentralized control prompting new ways for people to transact and interact with everything.

Instead of extracting value from users, Web3 captures value by creating opportunities for them.

We want to build a Web3 talent platform to capture all the value locked within every step of the recruitment and onboarding process.

tr3butor will distribute this value back to contributors and employers through a reward system, a sense of play and ownership, and a seamless user experience.

We envision a community-driven marketplace for Web3 job opportunities where anyone can choose to be an employer, educator, recruiter, or all of the above simultaneously - and get rewarded for their efforts.

We’re building an interface for the Internet of Jobs while cultivating a vibrant community in collaboration with the most influential entities in Web3.

Introducing tr3butor

After months of building in stealth mode, we are thrilled to introduce tr3butor, a community recruitment platform.

With tr3butor, our ultimate goal is to create a Web3 talent platform co-owned by talent, which will be facilitated by on-chain CVs and verifiable reputation, programmed quests and payments, an educational hub, and a community fund.

However, our first priority is to address the biggest pain point of every Web3 endeavor - talent recruitment.

When it comes to sourcing and hiring, even in Web3, most companies rely on traditional methods like job boards, internal recruiters, and recruitment agencies. Few of them are investing in employer branding through sponsoring hackathons, bootcamps, and, sure, afterparties.

It’s good, but it’s not good enough.

Statistically, the best ROI source of talent is through referrals. Referrals are 4x more likely to pass through the interview and stay 8x longer compared to other sources, resulting in 25% more profits for the business.

Even in Web2, when 70% of active and skilled individuals aren’t actively looking for a job, up to 90% of them are susceptible to new job opportunities. This results in 60% of jobs worldwide being found through personal networks.

We believe that a native Web3 solution is a way forward to unlock the power of community recruitment through referrals and solve the problems in the current ecosystem, potentially disrupting the trillion-dollar recruitment and HR market.

With more than 10 years of experience in Web, AR/VR, and game development, we’re ready to bring our product skills to completely transform the Web3 user experience from a boring and painful process into a fun and gamified experience.

During the last 4 months of building in stealth, we launched the tr3butor Quest Board as our “Minimum Lovable Product”, where you can now explore the latest, most exciting talent opportunities in Web3 from over 40 high-profiled, most innovative DAOs, platforms, and protocols.

We launched a Contributor Wiki and started growing our community on Discord, Twitter and our newsletter.

We have also started our research of the Web3 talent market with our detailed State of Web3 Talent: Decoding the Jobs Revolution and other articles.

Behind the scenes, we built and strengthened ties with industry-leading advisors, foundations, DAOs, tech providers, and KOLs.

After growing our team to 7 people, we're ready to publicly launch tr3butor and start growing even faster.
