The goal: Bring true CEX seamlessness to on-chain trading

To build the best experience for on-chain crypto traders, Thunder needed to fundamentally redefine the standard user experience. To create the UX they were looking for while keeping funds in the control of end-users, Thunder partnered with Turnkey to create non-custodial embedded wallets hosted in Thunder Terminal, and access-gated them via passkeys.

Users can log into Thunder Terminal via standard web2 email login and are able to easily create a wallet and set up a passkey authenticator without any browser extensions, seed phrases or third-party branding. Then, users can employ that passkey to initiate a trading session, allowing them to make fast and secure trades while active for a limited timeframe, which can be closed out at any moment.
