After a year and a half of development on the Variational protocol, and just under a year of running the public Omni testnet, we’re proud to announce that the private beta of the Omni mainnet went live on Arbitrum today! We’re welcoming an initial batch of traders as early users of the platform. In the coming weeks, we will invite more traders onto the platform in batches.
These early users can now experience all of Omni’s benefits for the first time, including the zero-fee design and ability to trade hundreds of unique markets.
As of today, addresses for the first batch of traders have been whitelisted by the Variational team. These traders are now able to connect to the Omni mainnet private beta, deposit Arbitrum USDC, and open their first trades.
We plan to introduce a simple referral program soon which will allow traders to invite small numbers of friends and associates to the private beta. Additionally, we will be releasing batches of referral codes to users on our waitlist to grow the Omni private beta in a controlled manner.
We will be sending out invitations in regular batches as the Omni private beta progresses.
Conditions for being selected in future batches may include:
Being signed up for the waitlist on our Discord
Early testnet participation
Holding a Variational NFT from a trading/community competition
Having created content about Variational
We are controlling the growth of the Omni private beta in the near term to maintain a great user experience.
We unfortunately do not expect everyone on the waitlist to be able to get a code. Traders who do not receive an invitation to the beta will be able to start using Omni when the public mainnet goes live (expected to be a few months from now).
This announcement constitutes Variational’s most important milestone yet! After more than a year of building, testing, and refining, we’re incredibly excited to welcome the first non-internal members to the Omni mainnet.
We will be closely monitoring all aspects of the system, from OLP performance to execution latency, to ensure a successful transition from testnet to mainnet.
If you have any questions or issues while using the Omni private beta, feel free to reach out to support@variational.io or send a message in our Discord.
