What is POAP?

POAP is essentially NFT minted with a POAP smart contract. But it is of particular importance — such a mark that you were present at any event or participated in the event. What the issuer* of this event wanted to reward you for.
*Issuer — an organization that issues (issues) securities for the development and financing of its activities.
Using POAP, you can track the activity of an account and evaluate its value in the world of cryptocurrencies.
Each POAP token is a unique digital asset that can only be issued once and is associated with a specific event or conference.

A platform for creativity is the site POAP.art. POAP.art — is an interactive digital canvas that allows users to interact with each other by creating pixel art on the blockchain, turning them into NFTs. POAP.art requires the use of a suitable POAP to access the platform. There is a public POAP request process that you can use to obtain a suitable POAP and access the canvas. To make yourself known, join the POAP.art Discord server and search for “POAP-Bot”. Send a direct message to this bot with the codeword “week17” and you’ll get a URL to claim your eligible canvas access POAP.

Application of POAP

For the most part, they can be collected to prove your dedication to the project and count on future drops from it. For some, this is just a commemorative badge. The emitter can often be used to attract activity and determine its “real” audience, who is directly involved in the life of the project.

Examples

Recently at the ETH Denver event, Lens posted a QR code that allowed POAP branding. This POAP should in theory allow you to create a Lens profile that is currently trading at $150+ on the secondary market.

As you can see, the application can be different and profitability is the same. So, whenever possible, we do not miss the opportunity to collect POAP and prove our loyalty to the projects.
