The Floadmap is the Flipmap roadmap, an overview of milestone events in the story of the Flipmap project.
The Floadmap is revealed piece by piece via an NFT collection, Floadmaps, that was airdropped to Flipmap holders over the last weekend of January 2022.
Floadmaps is an NFT collection airdropped to Flipmap holders over the last weekend of January 2022, with the purpose of revealing each of 12 milestone events on the overall Floadmap.
Floadmap NFTs contain several elements as shown in the graphic below.
A milestone event is displayed at the top: flipmap.art in this example refers to the launch of Flipmap and the website where minting took place.
In the center of the Floadmap is a Flipquest clue; a riddle with the spelling flipped. The first person to solve and enter the correct answer on flipmap.art/floadmap is rewarded with Flipkeys. To solve a clue and redeem Flipkeys, you must hold the corresponding Floadmap in your wallet.
In the bottom left corner is an Edition number. This refers to the stage of the Floadmap. In this case #1 is the first Floadmap milestone (launch). #2 refers to the second milestone (the Floadmap airdrop) and so on.
In the bottom right corner is a box with some letters/numbers/symbols. The significance and meaning of these will be revealed in time.
Bottom center of the tile shows a word. The significance and meaning of this will be revealed in time.
Floadmap NFTs are updatable, meaning that the image and text can be changed by the Flipmap team periodically. This is how we update clues and other elements of the Floadmap collection.
When a Flipquest clue is solved, a new Floadmap NFT will be minted to the solver’s wallet with the following text: ‘FLORE COMING SOON’ (Flore = Flipmap Lore). All other Floadmaps with the same Edition # will be updated to display the text ‘SOLVED’ in the center of the tile and a greyed border.
If your Floadmap NFT displays ‘SOLVED’ in the center of the tile, PLEASE DO NOT attempt to solve the clue again. You will have an extremely high gas fee to pay and WILL NOT receive any rewards. Gas fees go to Ethereum miners, not to the Flipmap team. The Flipmap team cannot refund any such transactions.
Flipquests are cryptic riddles that will send Flipmappers scouring Etherscan, delving into Flipmap lore and checking out other projects for answers. The first to solve a Flipquest clue on flipmap.art/floadmap is rewarded with Flipkeys.
Flipquest clues are revealed gradually. Solving a Flipquest that is only partially revealed will reward the solver with more Flipkeys than solving when the clue has been fully revealed. Check out #flipquest-discussion in the Discord server for chat and theories.
Flipkeys play an important role in the latter stages of the Floadmap. What that role is shall become apparent in time.
Flipkeys can be acquired by solving Flipquest clues here: flipmap.art/floadmap.
Other opportunities to acquire Flipkeys will present themselves later. Be cool!
