Happiness Boosts Productivity

Happiness boosts productivity by 12%.

Read this to become a happier person:

Smile.

Forcing a smile can boost your mood.

Smiling causes your brain to release dopamine.

Tell your body that you are happy with a smile.

Exercise.

Exercise reduces stress and anxiety.

Small amounts of exercise can still make a difference.

Take a walk and appreciate the outdoors.

Get plenty of sleep.

Most adults need at least 7 hours of sleep.

Keep your phone downstairs and manage the environment to fit your liking.

Not getting enough sleep can lead to illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes.

Let your body rest.

Practice gratitude.

Gratitude opens doors to stronger relationships.

Everyday spend 5-10 minutes thinking about something you are thankful for.

You will find that you start to appreciate life even more.

Get a pet.

Spending time with a pet has similar benefits to spending time with a friend.

When you’re feeling down, giving your dog a hug or your cat a cuddle can make you feel better.

Studies show that interacting with animals can decrease depression and lower blood pressure.

Give compliments.

Seeing other people happy can make you happier.

Compliments make other people feel good and make them want to be around you.

Compliments build friendships.

Avoid competition with others.

Don’t compare yourself to others.

There will always be someone with a faster car, a bigger house etc..

Instead, see how you can become a better version of yourself.

If you want to become happier, follow these 7 tips:

  1. Smile.
  2. Exercise.
  3. Get plenty of sleep.
