Decentralization is Coming

We are thrilled to announce that the Protectorate Protocol will soon transition to a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) structure, putting the power in the hands of the community with guidance and oversight from the Elder Council.

Stake Your xPRTC

Starting this week, xPRTC stakers will be able to participate in on-chain governance voting to help shape the future direction and development of the protocol. As an xPRTC staker, you will have the ability to:

• Propose ideas to improve Protectorate products and services

  • Further details will be outlined on the Governance Forum on how this process will be undertaken

• Vote on protocol changes and upgrades

• Elect Elder Council members to represent the community (Future Phase of Governance)

Note, you MUST stake your PRTC tokens as xPRTC here, to participate in governance.

Elder Council

The Elder Council will provide oversight and help filter malicious proposals. Composed of founding team members and key contributors, the Elder Council will act as an advisory and supervisory body, leveraging their expertise for the benefit of the community.

By combining engaged community governance with the wisdom of the Elder Council, we will be able to rapidly evolve Protectorate Protocol in a sustainable and secure manner.
