This is another zero-cost airdrop project similar to Grass, where you just need to install it, and you're good to go.
Imagine you're shopping in a large supermarket, and every purchase detail is visible to everyone in the store. While this level of transparency ensures security, it can also feel a bit intrusive. OLA is like a smart shopping bag where you can choose to show others your regular purchases, but you can keep your beloved secret items hidden in a private compartment, completely out of view.
OLA is a Layer 2 platform focused on privacy and high performance.
The full name of OLA is "OlaVM," a system based on a zero-knowledge virtual machine (ZKVM) designed specifically for Ethereum. Its uniqueness lies in its support for programmable privacy. Developers can design various privacy options within smart contracts, allowing users to choose between public or private transactions as needed. It's like being able to publicly display most of your shopping list but keeping certain items private, visible only to you.
You might ask, what's the value of such a design? Imagine a patient with a rare and complicated illness. If all of their medical records and treatment details were publicly available, it could help the patient receive timely treatment and aid medical research but would also severely violate the patient's privacy.
OLA's privacy protection is designed to solve this issue. OLA acts like a smart steward, keeping the patient's asset information and on-chain data firmly in their control. The patient alone decides who can see what information. This setup protects privacy, ensures data ownership, and is also beneficial for scientific research.
OLA's value has already garnered initial recognition in the investment community, with $6 million raised in seed funding.
Massive is OLA's first mobile mining application.
Massive aims to lower the barriers to blockchain entry through a "verify-to-earn" model. Traditional mining requires expensive hardware and technical knowledge, but Massive makes it simple with just a smartphone.
Massive is part of the Ola Testnet Alpha, planning to distribute 10% of Ola tokens to validators and miners, with 1% allocated for early testing.
Massive's core principle is fairness. Time is a crucial factor in distributing airdrop points.
Massive's fairness is reflected in the equal treatment of each user's contribution, allowing both regular users and whales to participate and earn rewards in the same way. This decentralized and fair design promotes broader user engagement and a healthier network ecosystem.
The first season of Massive has ended, and the second season is about to start.
There are two steps: Register an account and download the app.
Click the link to enter the following page.
Click the arrow at the top right to connect your MetaMask wallet. The wallet is only for signing; it doesn't require any funds and doesn't ask for a network connection.
After completing the tasks of connecting to Twitter, following on Twitter, and joining Discord, click "Join Now" at the arrow's position. SWRRDP is the invitation code; you need an invite to participate.
Suggestion: Use a backup phone to complete the following steps to prevent information leakage. The app doesn't require wallet login.
Scan the QR code below based on your phone's operating system.
If the download doesn't start on your phone, click the three dots at the arrow position and select the option to open in the browser.
My Chrome browser warned me that this app might be risky because it's downloaded from unofficial channels. So, I also recommend using a backup phone.
Click the arrow in the image above to continue the download. Then, find the downloaded file as shown below.
Click to open and start the installation. The operating system may warn you again. My Xiaomi system flagged this app as not registered.
After installation, you'll see the Massive icon.
Open Massive, and click the arrow position to connect your wallet.
This is not for a real wallet connection; just input your Ola address. As shown below:
Find your OLA address on the registration website in the top right corner. Click the address at the arrow position.
In the pop-up window below, click to copy the address.
Then, return to your phone, paste the address, and click Confirm.
Finally, click the arrow position's "Start to Verify" to begin earning.
If you want to stop, you can click the Stop button.
Also, your score page syncs with the mobile end.
I find Massive's "verify-to-earn" concept somewhat vague; what exactly needs to be verified remains unknown. Or OLA might have other directions.
In any case, this is a project still in its testing phase with many unknowns.
However, I must remind you not to use a phone with important information to participate in this project. If you don't have a spare phone, you might want to wait until Massive enters the Apple or Google app stores, making it safer to participate.
