ZK Badge Stats

• Curated Badges: 9 unique badges, total of 36,900 badges minted

• Permissionless Badges**:** 79 unique badges, total of 27,474 badges minted

ZK Badge Curation

It’s been nearly a month since the community voted to adopt the new Sismo governance framework that involves Sismo Contributor ZK badge holders voting on which badges get to become part of the Curated Collection. The new curation process is organised around three key properties:

• Sybil resistance

• Privacy

• Trustlessness

Since then, Zikies voted to add one more badge to the Curated Collection using the new badge curation process:

Rhino.FI ZK Power User ZK badge can be minted by users of Rhino.fi, a decentralised exchange that runs on Starkex validium rollup.

Separately, an overwhelming majority voted in favour of granting the Sismo core team temporary powers to deploy a number of badges straight into the Curated Environment. This will help the team to implement key new badges, including those that will cover new use cases. Thanks for the trust!

Sismo participates in ZK Hack

The Sismo team took part in ZK Hack III, alongside few other killer projects.

ZK Hack is a virtual event series featuring weekly workshops and advanced puzzle solving competitions. Each week, participants learn about key ZK concepts and tools and/or compete to find bugs in protocols in puzzle competition and win prizes.

996.ICU ZK Badge in Permissionless Environment

The number of ZK badges created by community is growing! 996 ICU badge is one of the latest addition to the collection. It can be minted by community of devs fighting against the Chinese 996 working hour system that calls for over 60-hours work week. Great use of the recent update to the protocol that now makes it possible to link your GitHub account to your web3 wallet without sacrificing privacy.

🔦 Spotlight

Spotlight on some of the coolest things about Sismo and zero-knowledge tech.

When launched, users could only use their Web3 wallets as source accounts to mint ZK Badges from their on-chain data. However, since recently the devs added support for some of the most popular off-chain platforms used by Web3 natives: Github and Twitter:

• For Twitter, you can now add your Twitter account as source account for ZK Badges. Give it a try by checking if you qualify to mint the new Ethereum Influencer ZK Badge.

• For Github, you can also add your Github account as source account for ZK Badges. Try it out by starring Sismo repository and minting Sismo GitHub Stargazer ZK Badge afterwards (list of eligible accounts is updated periodically). See further details here:

👨‍🍳 What’s Cooking Next

It’s the shipping season. Some of the things that the Sismo team are working on releasing next:

• Merging of the Playground (Permissionless) and the Curated environments. The two contracts will become one, although there will be no changes to the current process and the principles behind badge curation.

• New API for integrators to display their users’ Badges

• ZK Airdrops Badges are landing s👀n

• Big update to the Sismo app
