Ethereum is notoriously heavy in gas consumption, many people who are starting out in the crypto space admittedly can easily be priced out when gas fees spike due to certain activities saturating the block space such as a massive cascading liquidation or an overhyped NFT collection launch.

Just like interacting with the internet requires some tools, interacting with the blockchain will require a few things to get started.

The explosive growth of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) in 2020 - 2021 shook the mainstream and anyone from the outside looking into the Web3/Crypto world. However, the NFT standard was developed quite early on in 2018 with the implementation of the EIP-721 standard. Contrast to how 1₿ or 1Ξ (1 bitcoin or 1 ether) is fungible, which in simple term means that your 1Ξ token is the same as my 1Ξ token. It can be traded anywhere and to whomever and the value stays the same.

I am creating these series of write-ups to assist people who are interested in jumping into Web3 and Crypto (I understand there is quite a negative connotation tied to the word crypto). My objective is to document everything that I have seen and learnt, and finally put it into a written format so that I can share all the good the bad and the ugly of this fascinating and growing industry.
