HOW DOES THE ALLOWLIST WORK?

now that you understand some of the web3 lingo, you may be interested in getting your hands on one of our NFTs.  if you have followed our first two drops, you may have noticed that all NFTs have been sold out during minutes of the pre-sale.  as is common in web3, we let our amazing community of early supporters get first dibs on our NFT drops.  this is done by having a pre-sale which is only open for people on our allowlist.  in this article we’ll let you know what the allowlist process has looked like for our first three drops.

WHAT IS AN ALLOWLIST?

in order to access the pre-sale, you need to be on the allowlist.  an allowlist is basically a list containing wallet addresses that  are allowed to mint during the pre-sale.  the pre-sale opens about two hours prior to the public sale (this may differ from drop to drop).  during this time a limited amount of NFTs can be minted per wallet, as opposed to the public sale where you can mint any amount of NFTs.

DROP 1: WEEKEND ON A TUESDAY – R3HAB & LAIDBACK LUKE

for our first drop we wanted to show our appreciation for the early supporters of anotherblock.  we created a special role for these on discord called OGs, to show that their support didn’t go unnoticed.  the reward was that OGs were invited to a private channel and got first dibs on the allowlist.  thereafter we held a bunch of raffles for various communities where they could win an allowlist spot.  the communities we reached out to were cryptodavy, cryptotesters, anotherblock’s twitter, among others.  on top of all this, r3hab & laidback luke held a raffle of their own.

all NFTs were sold out within 40 minutes of the pre-sale.

DROP 2: ACQUAINTED – THE WEEKND (brought to you by DANNYBOYSTYLES)

for our second drop we initially opened up the allowlist for OGs and holders of the “weekend on a tuesday” NFTs.  then we arranged raffles in various communities where the winners were granted allowlist access.  this time we wanted to try something new, and our amazing head of community & growth, andreas “bigleton” bigert, came up with the brilliant idea to gamify the allowlist process to make it more fun and engaging.  in order to achieve this, we used crew3, where we created so-called  “quests” which people could complete, gain experience points, and level up.  those who reached a high enough level were rewarded with allowlist access.  this turned out to be very popular within our community judging from the feedback we received.  40 well-deserved allowlist spots were given to the people who had gained the most experience points.

all NFTs were sold out within 4 minutes of the pre-sale.

DROP 3: ALONE, PT. II – ALAN WALKER & AVA MAX (brought to you by THE VERY GOOD)

for our third drop we have decided to remove the OG role and given holders priority access to the allowlist.  we will hold raffles in our own channels and other communities where a few lucky winners will gain access.  since the quests were so appreciated we have decided to make them  even more interesting.  this time there will be three rounds of allowlist giveaways for the top performers – the first round of quests will be easy (30 allowlist spots), the second will be set to a medium difficulty (40 spots) and the third will be the hardest (30 spots).

we are continuously evaluating and developing our allowlist process. if you have any ideas or feedback you’d like to share, feel free to reach out in discord.
