Interoperability continues to evolve as we have gone from cross-chain to multi-chain to omnichain. We first started out being able to allow different blockchains to communicate with each other, then we began to see protocols being accessible on multiple blockchains. With the help of LayerZero, we are now entering a realm where we can eliminate certain middlemen aka “middle chains” and directly interact with different blockchains as needed.

The adoption of cloud technology has eliminated the traditional need for companies to spend tons of money on physical servers and data warehouses. We no longer need to store important information and resources on hardware devices when we can upload them to the cloud and access them as needed. Prominent centralized cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud are doing a great job of growing and continuing to develop. However, with the ongoing innovations of blockchain technology, the idea of a decentralized cloud is arising. Yes, we have cloud technology but they are still governed by centralized entities that act as an intermediary for what we utilize with the cloud. How are things changing to make individuals fully own what they use?

Revert Finance is currently one of the most interesting protocols in DeFi. They offer several tools for LPs in AMM protocols. Users can manage their LP positions and interact with the contracts directly from their front end. Users can also review and compare analytics amongst different LPs and protocols. There is also a backtesting feature that will allow a user to see how the position they are about to enter would have performed in the last 30 days. This is a brilliant innovation that will allow investors to track their performance while also having a more efficient way of analyzing opportunities in the space.

We are in a time where people are gaining more interest in crypto especially with the merge coming soon. We will go over a few easy methods to onboard to Layer 2’s for some exposure. Onboarding to Layer 2’s is significant because it allows new users to get a feel for DeFi without having to worry about expensive mainnet gas fees. Blockchain privacy is a huge component of decentralized finance. It isn't stressed enough how important privacy and anonymity contribute to the overall health of the ecosystem. After the recent sanctions on Tornado Cash, there has been an uproar and offense taken by developers and users alike. Privacy has always been important, but now the narrative is becoming more transparent after seeing outside forces continue to push regulation and censorship on our community.

This is a very exciting yet speculative time in the crypto world. Paradigms continue to shift causing new narratives to develop simultaneously. The new narrative on the scene are Layer-2 scaling solutions, especially after the Ethereum merge announcement that is set to take place before EOY.

I would like to introduce this personal sentiment that I call "Art of Accumulation.” During times like these when the markets are volatile, current events are impacting the world, and it seems like everyone is in distress, I like to stay focused and look at the bigger picture.

The last few cycles of the market have been very interesting. Over the past year, DeFi has presented many opportunities along with a lot of unexpected surprises. I will go over some personal lessons I learned and key takeaways that will proceed with me to the next phase of this space. None of this is financial advice!!
