What is Fidolist?

Fidolist is an exclusive club that everyone can join.

When is the Fidolist Mint?

What is Bid-to-earn?

In a typical auction, there is only one winner and everyone else loses. With Fido’s bid-to-earn system, you either win the bid or you earn money. Place a bid, and if someone outbids you, you get your bid back, plus a share from the pot called an incentive. When a new bid is placed, the engine calculates how much money that bidder will earn if they are outbid. Every bidder that gets outbid earns up to a 5% incentive, and the highest bidder at the end of the auction wins, with the seller receiving an amount equivalent to the winning bid minus the incentives distributed to the bidders.

For a winner to receive their Fido Dido Genesis Card “NFT” they must settle the auction related to the Card they won, on the related NFT page.

No. Only Fidolisted wallets and wallets with the proof-of-space token will be able to participate in bidding.

You can use basically whatever Ethereum wallet you wish (except multi-sig wallets).

What is the maximum number of bids?

No limitation. The more you bid the more you earn when the bid concludes.

What is the rarity structure of the collection?

There are 4 categories: 1/1s (ultra cool), the OG Gamer (super cool), OG (very cool), and the rest - the artist, the athlete, and the musician (Cool).

What is the rarest type?

1/1s are rarest. OGs are also quite rare.

Who is Fido Dido?

Fido is the living embodiment of a philosophy believed but not necessarily exemplified by his vaguely neurotic creators, Joanna Ferrone, and Sue Rose. Everyone seems to think that he was born when he was doodled on a cocktail napkin. But the truth is Fido existed before he was drawn. He just needed somebody to put the pen to the paper and get him going. Once that happened (big deal right?) the creators ceased to have any control over his actions. Let’s face it, Joanna’s dogs won’t even do what she says, much less Fido. So even though she’s bigger than him and a bit less black and white, she doesn’t have a say in what he says or does. Joanna doesn’t really mind this lack of control because she knows that no person, living or drawn, should be controlled. Which leaves her free to sit back and enjoy watching Fido’s journey.

Fido is all about trusting and his career reflects his “Fidosophy”. With the universe conspiring to support him and his indestructible innocence taking him seamlessly through the vicissitudes of changing fashions, cultural trends, and mindsets, it seems clear that Fido is here to stay.

Where did Fido Dido first appear?

Sue Rose first doodled the character in 1985 on a napkin in a restaurant. Ferrone came up with the character’s name on her way to work the next day. The two later stenciled Fido on T-shirts. These T-shirts became very popular in New York, and featured the character's official mantra: "Fido is for Fido. Fido is against no one. Fido is youth. Fido has no age. Fido sees everything. Fido judges nothing. Fido is innocent. Fido is powerful. Fido comes from the past. Fido is the future."

Oasis X, a web3 creative studio, that has experience with some of the biggest brands and NFT projects worldwide, built the Fido Dido storyline, and custom smart contracts (powered by GBM) and is handling the minting process. They also ensure provable fairness (full randomness) in the mint.
