Ney began playing against her brothers on console games when she was X years old. They would often “wreck” her. “They were so much older and more skillful.” Just before entering high school she got her first PC. Since the internet and internet games came late to her country, many of the titles she could play were from 10 years earlier. One fateful day she discovered a title that later inspired some of the game play in Wilderness. “I just now realized that I was throwing fire balls when I was a little kid,” said Ney.
“The vision was always to have the ability to play as your Woodie. That was the grand vision for any metaverse experience was to be your Woodie.” said Richard Powazynski, one of the co-founders of the Woodies, a family friendly NFT project launched in September 2021. He was describing the plans his team made to extend the utility of their NFTs with Linked Wearables inside Decentraland. At a gallery solo show opening some time in 2019, showcasing photos of people’s bodies that he painted, Paul Roustan was reluctantly caught in a dialogue irrelevant to the moment at hand. He took off his glasses, closed them and hung them on his button up shirt. This was a secret signal to any of his crew in the gallery to come rescue him from this conversation. “There are times where people want to spark up a conversation and it veers off into something that is not about the artwork.” Roustan explained about the encounter.

She used to have a corporate marketing job where she worked on building social campaigns and monitoring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). She took this experience and used it to promote and host over 365 events in the past year in Decentraland.
