The grand bazaar of Wavespell, once teeming with life and laughter, stands silent and deserted, its skeletal remains a testament to nature's unrelenting power. Once a bustling marketplace filled with the chatter of traders, the songs of bards, and the fragrant scent of exotic spices, it is now a haunting shadow of its former glory. The culprit? An unforeseen flood season that washed away the bazaar's vibrancy, leaving only waterlogged ruins in its wake.
Adjacent to the bazaar, the Aviary, home to Wavespell's sacred and revered pigeons, remarkably remained unscathed. These pigeons, known for their spiritual significance and messenger roles, were thought to be the town's protectors, delivering messages between realms. It's no surprise, then, that the Aviary's survival led to murmurs among the townsfolk, whispers of ancient lore connecting the fate of the bazaar to the Aviary.
The lore tells of a mystical artifact, the 'Feather of the First Pigeon,' lost within the labyrinthine network of stalls in the bazaar. This Feather, bestowed upon the town's forebears by a pigeon deity, was said to bring prosperity and protection against nature's wrath. As the story goes, the Feather was stolen, leading to the bazaar's downfall.
