Artist Spotlight - Noiamgodzilla

December 22
A conversation with Noiamgodzilla (or Godzi/ Godzilla as she likes to be called) is relaxed and warm. Godzilla is softly spoken, yet at the same time clear in her vision and goals. She speaks and writes with an air of professionalism and carries herself in a manner that commands respect. You know you’re speaking to someone who is clear in her beliefs and has a firm grasp of who she is, as you would expect from someone who would need to be in their role as a Design Program Director. In her 9 to 5 job, Godzilla leads a team of UX Professionals spanning across visual/ UI design, research, content and design strategy. But Godzilla is more than that. There is a character there that you only just barely get a hint of initially, but with time and hearing stories behind who she is and what her goals are, it all makes sense.

The Value of Integrity and Trust in a Trustless System

Having now been in the NFT space for a short while, one of the most important things I have learnt about the space is that security is important, as is trust. Often have we all heard about scammers tricking people into connecting to a dodgy site, allowing permissions without checking what they’re about, even having their details stolen through elaborate social engineering schemes. We are all aware of these scams and as an industry are getting better at pointing these out to newer entrants. They work because we take responsibility for being sovereign, for having control of our crypto / NFTs, and we work on trusting that the code that is executed is fair and does what it is meant to. And there is nothing in this text to suggest otherwise. The code does indeed do what it is told to do.

Whitelists / Mint Lists

For most project launches, a whitelist, allow list, or mint list is compiled by the project founders/ team and comprises a list of people / wallet addresses that will be given privileges to mint at launch, often before the general public are given access to mint and sometimes at a discounted mint fee. The purpose of the process is to allow early supporters to secure their NFT(s) without having to risk competing for allocation with the public and also in some cases allow listed wallets to mint at a time that suits them (without having to mint at odd times if mint time does not work for a particular time zone) and when gas is at levels at the purchaser is comfortable with.
