Sometimes Things Move Fast

It’s been a few since my last entry, but in the mean time I’ve worked with freeflow.dev to help a few projects launch, developed a tricky smart contract for DefiSyndicate, and landed a salaried position with the FantOHM team. Yesterday I tendered my resignation with my former employer, a great company, but not as much flexibility as I want, and I am really excited to spend all day every day in solidity and react for a while.

I had said previously that I would rather a lot of small recurring clients than one big client, as there’s more stability and resiliency than depending on one entitiy to pay all the bills. However it really gives me and my partner a great opportunity to be able to focus on the administrative side of setting this business up before having to juggle client management on top of it. I hope my relationship with FantOHM is a long and prosperous one, but for the sake of sleeping well at night, I don’t ever want to put all of my eggs in one basket.

What’s next? Focusing on FantOHM providing high quality work, and honing my skills with react as well as solidity. I’ve admired the team for a long time and I’m really honored to be able to work with such a great group of people. We’re also completing all of the administrative tasks around properly forming the business. I’ve had an LLC for a long time, but we want to make sure we’re set up for the lowest tax burdens, and lowest administrative overhead.
