First of all, we're truly glad to have had the 2nd derivative art contest following on from our first one. The previous contest was called "GMsArt2021", so we took over that name and called it "GMsArt2021Nov" this time. Starting from November 1st to November 24th, we had about a month to select up to 15 finalists and their derivatives by the Generativemasks team, and 5 winners were chosen by community voting with the whole Generativemasks community joining.
As mentioned above, we decided to have up to 15 finalists this time, and all the finalists received POAPs. For the 5 winners, we presented a Generativemasks NFT as a prize.
We really appreciate the fact that we received a total of 21 derivative works this time for the art contest, and this is something very special to us. This means a lot. So, thank you so much to those who submitted your work for our contest. And you can see all the submitted derivatives from the Tweet down below. If you find and like any of them, please like and RT them!
This time around there were 11 people chosen by a vote of the Generativemasks team members. The person who voted to choose the finalists were takawo, Toshi, wildmouse, Nako, grinding. We have a separate webpage for all of their derivative works with the comment on they chose them! Check the link down below!
The Comment page for the finalists:
Here are the finalists! We put the URL of their Twitter account as well.
And these people are the 5 winners chosen by our community vote! Have a look at them along with their actual derivative works!

We've set up two channels on our Discord server to decide the winners through community voting. One is an open voting channel where everyone can vote whether they are a Generativemasks holder or not. Then, the other one is a private channel where only the holders can see and vote. This means that our Generativemasks holders have 2 votes in total to cast for their favorite derivative works.
Congratulations to all the 5 winners!
This is the second derivative art contest that we've wrapped up since the launch in August, we really want to say thank you to everyone who submitted beautiful derivative works and those who voted for them. Your participation was really huge. These kinds of derivative activities also mean a lot to us, and we really hope that you guys found it fun and interesting.
One of the main reasons why we continue to have this derivative contest is that we want people to know how fun creative coding can be through the Generativemasks project. We would be very happy if many people become interested in creative coding. That's the core thing we have here for the event. So if you didn't get a chance to join us this time, you could join us next time when we have another one!
Also, we have one more thing to share. In the last contest in October, we presented POAPs to three finalists out of the entire contest, and this time we gave POAPs to eleven finalists. This is one of the things that we had promised to do before the contest, but we received more entries than we could have imagined being honest. We've got so many beautiful works and submissions.
So as a little surprise, we also made and sent out Generativemasks' original participation award POAPs to those who participated in these two contests as participants! Thank you very much for participating in Generativemasks' secondary creation contest "GMsArt2021Nov"!
