Rabby Wallet stands out as a versatile and secure option for managing your crypto assets. Here’s a step-by-step guide to get started:
Download and install the Rabby Extension for your Chrome browser:
Go to the “Extension (released)” section and download the extension for the Chrome browser.
💡Tip: consider pinning it for quick access.
Add addresses to your wallet:
To begin, you’ll need to add addresses to your wallet. There are several ways to do this:
1) ➕ Create a New Seed Phrase: this implies creating the entire wallet from scratch.
The wallet will display a list of addresses associated with that seed phrase.
By clicking the buttom in the left column, you’ll add the address to Rabby Wallet.
By clicking in the right column, the assets contained in each address and the blockchains they belong to will be revealed, aiding in better identification.
2) 🅰️ Import Seed Phrase: this involves importing the entire wallet with its respective addresses.
3) 🗝️ Import Private Key: this involves importing a single address.
4) 🦊 Import from MetaMask: there are two way to do this:
Import Seed Phrase: import the entire MetaMask wallet.
Import Private Key: import a single address from MetaMask.
Follow the previous steps depending on your choice.
5) 🔌 Connect Hardware Wallet: there’s plenty of hardware wallets you can import your wallet of. In my case, I used Ledger:
Unlock it and select Ethereum.
Accept the permission prompt to allow Rabby Wallet to operate seamlessly with it.
A list of available addresses in your hardware wallet will appear.
Follow the exact procedure described in the “create a new seed phrase” step to add these addresses to Rabby Wallet.
6) 📲 Connecting mobile wallets apps: there are many mobile wallets apps from which we can import addresses, in this case I did it with MetaMask 🦊.
Choose the address you want to import and scan the QR code. To scan you have to press the right upper corner icon.
Once scanned, Rabby Wallet will show the “Scan successful” message on screen.
7) ☕️ Adding Contact: this feature allows monutoring the portfolio, view all activities of an address, but without the ability to perform transactions or prove ownership.
With this steps you’ll be ready to make the most of Rabby Wallet and efficiently manage your crypto assets securely.
