2) Lack of Composers: While there are plenty of creative DAOists contributing as delegates, stewards, and ops guild members, we have yet to see a plethora of early adopting, highly creative onchain composers. These individuals have the potential to unlock the true power of composable code, but they need an easy way to experiment with the available tools and “instruments”. 🎶👩‍💻

3) Accessibility: Just as a music composer needs a full-featured studio to write and record music, DAOists need an accessible platform to experiment with smart contracts and primitives. Currently, there's a gap in the market for a composition studio that allows for easy experimentation and collaboration. 🎼🎛️

If we’re wanting to invite DAO leaders to get creative and experimental we realized we needed to do the same ourselves.  Sobol Labs was our answer, a sandbox where we can incrementally experiment with smart contract compositions, DAO operational protocols, and app interoperability.

Guided by this, Sobol Labs is a place where we can play together and find ways to make it easier and more accessible for you and your community to code beautiful onchain compositions. 

Our first experiment is called Hats Composer. It's an app designed to enable creative DAO leaders to experiment with, compose, and share Hats Protocol compositions with ease. 

We're starting the journey with Hats Protocol because it’s a project that emphasizes composability, making it an ideal fit for our first Sobol Labs release. Hats enables DAOs to explicitly delegate roles and responsibilities, along with their associated authorities, to individuals or groups. The project is designed around three key design goals: DAO-native roles, individual empowerment, and composable web3 ecosystem integration. 🎩🌐

By launching Sobol Labs we're demonstrating our commitment to fostering a culture of experimentation and composability in the DAO space.
