1) Protocol Engineering

Last week’s updates focused primarily on the migration from the current Cosmos SDK v45 to v47. The upgrade aims to migrate the current modules of oNFT, marketplace and other modules to the Cosmos SDK version 47.x.

2) Application Engineering

• Last week, the application engineering team focused on the prep. for the FlixDrop to go live on mainnet and updated the campaigns module on OmniFlix Market & the StreamPay app on StreamPay.me

• This past week, the focus was also on OmniFlix TV app that’s being released in the second half of August. If you are a creator with video content, do not hesitate to reach out to OmniFlix by sending a DM on Twitter.

3) Governance

Prop #14 - Increase total active validators from 75 to 80

A new proposal is on the table - to increase the network's active validator seats from 75 to 80. This key amendment seeks to bring in new validators and balance operational costs, ultimately enhancing the network's robustness. Proposal courtesy of Panvasi from ApeironNodes.

There was a proposal from Osmosis chain that we missed voting. We will be streamlining operations even more from a governance standpoint.

4) Ecosystem Updates

4.1) FlixDrop going LIVE (31st July)

Thrilled to share the phenomenal experience at the Blockchain Bytes meet-up in Hyderabad, organized by Blockchained India and hosted at IIITHyd. OmniFlix was proudly represented by Abhishek (@svabhishek). The evening was a power-packed affair, featuring dynamic panel discussions with market experts, insightful dialogue on treasury management during bearish phases, and a platform for forging new connections in the web3 space.
