This entry is part of the series: Mirror Entries Analysis. Each week, Post3 utilizes data extraction and data analysis techniques to deliver insightful reports with information concerning authors, articles, revenue, chains, keywords, and more, derived from exploring Mirror data.
For Week 5, we tackle the following questions:
Who are the authors from whom people have collected the most?
Which entries were the most collected?
Which authors generated the most revenue?
Which entries generated the most revenue?
What was the networks/chains usage?
Who caught our attention this week?
⚠️ Note: The number of collections/mints of some entries might have changed at the time I’m writing.
Let's begin to analyse 4718 posts collected from Week 5.
The number of times an article has been collected/minted serves as a valuable metric to understand an author's popularity on Mirror. The “Author“ is the publication/newsletter, some authors such as protocols and ecosystems have several contributors that write to their publications. Let’s take a look at the top 10 whose work has attracted more collectors.
Pike, a universal liquidity market, dominates the list with more than 200 collections. Followed by Linea and Beradoge Legacy. In the 4th position is Squid, a router to swap between blockchains. The Bera Inscription 🐻⛓🐰 in the 5th position is a publication that promotes the Berachain, now live in testnet. Polygon is now on Mirror and has a significant amount of collections. Besides, revenue is now shown in USD instead of ETH, due to the high adoption of the Polygon network. The prices in MATIC and ETH are both converted to USD at the current price for better comparison. To conclude, concerning non-English authors, K Erica got the 9th position with more than 100 collections.
Below is the list of the authors/publications with the most collections on Week 5:
⚠️ Note: Some of the links above, are from the contributors to the publication.
Some authors publish several times in a weekly period, which grants them more collections than others. But we need to take a look at entries individually, to see which ones perform better. These are the top 10 entries:
Linea Partners with Tenderly To Bring Innovative Tools to Developers
Squid Raises $4m in Strategic Funding Round led by Polychain Capital
Forgotten Playland raises $7M to build a next generation social party game
GameSwift Ambassadors Program: Season 2. Let’s Build Together!
Pike is live on Mainnet! is the entry with the most collections. It also generated significant revenue, due to Mirror’s rewarding system for free entries. This is followed by a Linea entry, talking about a partnership with Tenderly. The 3rd place goes to a piece by Squid, and in the 5th position is the official announcement of the Polygon ecosystem on Mirror.

Revenue serves as an indicator of one's ability to attract and retain people to mint their content. Here we’ll take a look at the top 10 authors that generated the most revenue from minted entries, and how it correlates with collections.
Beradoge Legacy leads the chart. This publication’s revenue was massive and makes difficult to compare to the others. However, it is good to see authors like Thumbs Up and K Erica on this list. Dynamic charts, like the ones provided in Post3 Engine are better for observing the real values when there are big discrepancies, like the one in this chart. Give it a try!

Just like in collections, revenue must be studied individually. People might be loyal to their favourite authors, but in the end, they will mint what they really like or find useful. Studying entries individually is important for writers to understand what kind of content people are willing to mint, and at what price. Below, are the top 10 entries with the most revenue:
Understanding the usage of L2 chains for minting NFT articles, is key for writers to decide which network should they use. The following pie chart only compares the usage, other metrics should be taken into account, such as the type of articles that are being published in each chain and so on.
This week, Optimism still dominates with 82.5 % of usage, but Polygon is conquering territory with 15.3%. In third place is Zora with 1.2%, followed by Base with 0.7 %, and finally Linea with 0.3 %.
