El Torero - Gamifying DAOs
The objective of “Rekt Gang’s El Torero’’ was to make DAOs more fun and engage our NFT community! The experiment involved simple tasks such as voting/staking, to more complex coding.
We created a narrative where the DAO had to take down an evil Bull Fighter called “El Torero”. To accomplish on the technical vision, we used DAODAO on Juno Network. Let’s recap and analyze some metrics.
Staking and Voting : El Torero V1 and V3
1189 Rekt Bull NFTs were staked on DAODAO which represents 52.5% of the total supply. This represented 311 unique wallets (45% of unique wallets). Considering the lockup of 7 days for stakers, and the nature of the rewards, the staking ratio is as anticipated.
In terms of governance, the most controversial and voted proposal was Prop 60: To Burn or Save the Puffy Gang. The turnout was 50% of votes, which represented 99 unique wallets.

DAO2ART : El Torero V2
Creating a decentralized NFT collection from Art to Mint is a unique value proposition of DAODAO. Indeed, the community engaged in creating the Art for the collection, and then minted it in a decentralized fashion. 55 NFTs were minted on the blockchain.
The community became strongly attached to their Puffy Gang NFTs (as vote in Prop#60).

Creating Social Engagement : El Torero V4
To ‘‘avenge’’ Noah, the DAO was asked to post a short story on Twitter with specific hashtags. Over 50 unique Twitter submissions were posted on the social media platform.
The community engagement created within DAODAO and the ‘‘gamification’’ can be leveraged outside the DAODAO platform.
Finding Niche Talent : El Torero V5
This last challenge required technical knowledge of coding. Although most of the DAO could not contribute, there were a few members that participated and executed the challenge.
There are many talented individuals within a DAO, and are ready to step up when required. They just need the right platform to shine.
The DAO successfully revealed the true identity of El Torero and took him down. In more technical terms, the DAO reconstructed El Torero from 69 CW20 $OLE tokens into a single CW721 token. Afterwards, they proceeded to burn the NFT.
Reconstruction of a fractionalized NFT using decentralized governance is a 1st in space (to our knowledge).
Rewards were airdropped to stakers and the DAO has voted for additional rewards to Jesse and plzlol. Check discord details for airdrop: 2 x 50 USDC, 1 Barn and 2 Rekt Bulls

We recommend that NFT collections on Juno Network (and eventually Cosmos), play with some of these concepts. Some storytelling alongside the DAODAO tooling can go a long way!
We have more planned in the future, but meanwhile keep the Rekt Gang should keep their bulls staked as the elections will be using DAODAO for voting in new clan leads. Applications will open on March 18th in our Discord.
