As I am privileged enough to have a say for the next Slatan Album: SKL rollout, I would like to invite anyone to join and play this game; all tracks will be available in digital collectibles form, and anyone could collect it. There’s a piece I wrote, pretty much just me rambling on the ideas of integrating collectibles with music releases and experience in general. Check it out 👇🏼
I have also sought consent from everyone who’s directly involved in the making of this album; to allow (10%) future earnings derive from this project to be funneled to this game’s pool. Pool 2.
This game do not come with inherent ownership rights. It do not contain claim on masters, no royalty rights, no publishing and no licensing abilities.
So fuck yeah, monetary incentives to lure players. LFG.
Slatan Album: SKL project consists of 10 tracks with a string of singles that will be released on every digital streaming platforms. Each one building into an album, that is SKL.
Months before our passed event’s inception, we booked a condo in KL for 4 days. The date was a week after said event 😩 The sole reason is not really to finish this project, SKL album. It was most importantly we up for some boys’ night out type of stuff.
Having said that we wanna do a album, we went on with some regime shit. Packed 2 sets 6” and 3” monitors, many XLRs, 3 mics, and some MIDI controllers. No. Hardcase. All the way from UG parking up to Level 10, like some chads we were 💪🏼
This album, albeit having many talents involved, is not akin to rap group project or music collective showcase.
The big part of the process of making this album was having friends around at the same time and place. Sausage Party Musical. Weenieng Writing Camp. Breadwieners Club.
The main production space was set in the condo spacious living room. So when friends pulled up, sessions were on sight 🔫🔒 Boys there were like on crack or sum istg, you gotta see it to believe it. Shout out to demboyz 🔝
As I feel it is a bit redundant to write extensively of what actually the album is about… lets say we let the press release play its part when its out at a later date. So, stay tuned...
Now let’s move on to the next. The game 😈🔝
Essentially,
10 digital collectibles will be released for each SKL track
10 digital collectibles for the SKL album will be sold as premium
This digital collectible is an idea of “owning” a piece of the creator’s work. That is essentially the game with Slatan’s album SKL, in 🛰️SLATANWORLD🌐
You ever bought a track from iTunes before? Only that this game allows you to etch your name it the work history. Because the creator allows you to, via collecting their digital collectibles. Let’s assume it as early supporter badges for the creator’s work. That’s that. Dope.
Some may have a limited copy they can resell to someone else. Because, well yeah, scarcity, FOMO, and etc. That is one way to speculate something that does not hold any inherent value, right? 😅
With its notion to be as simple as ‘owning’ a fraction of someone else’s work or content, with limitation of course, you will now have a digital collectible that supposed to represent a fragment of a creator’s art piece. Or a universe. Like owning a Holo Charizard, or whatever collectibles you nerds have piled up in the basement.
So, traditionally in a music project where it involves many parties, the conversation could and would go way deeper than just who own the masters of the song 🎂 It will then eventually be about the ‘splits’ of its royalty or earnings etc 🍰 Talking about fractionalizing a piece of works, owned by many 🧑🤝🧑🧑🤝🧑🧑🤝🧑
On some boomer shit, a creator’s work inherently has value etched to it. Plus, some people love to speculate, thus the emergence of ‘A&R managers' 😅 These people will scout and find things and stuff to place ‘bet’ on; be it artists, models, arts etc.
The end game that I could think of after the fact is, they will be banking on them for whatever X-factors they have, in return to monetize or capitalize it.
I say, it can just be done as easy and convenient in the game in 🛰️SLATANWORLD🌐; collect digital collectibles, list it on the likes of LooksRare, NFTX, Rarible or OpenSea.
But that is not the whole point of the game…
Let’s start with our first track from Slatan Album: SKL
Title:
“OFFS8”Producer(s):
LastKhalif, Wuzgut (co-prod)Artist(s):
Izhar, Dinho, JAYSTATION, F.Rider, Afiq Not Nice.10 digital collectibles of “OFFS8” will be available after it’s officially released on all digital streaming platforms.
There are 2 ways to collect “OFFS8” digital collectibles:
If we could rewind back to conceptualizing this digital collectible as ‘Lego’ block, we may be able to build some ‘blocks’ on top of it. It’s a game after all 🤷🏼
As we team up with @summerwatchorg, together with @superfluid_HQ’s assistance, we have successfully tested some new ‘blocks’ that can be built on top of “OFFS8” digital collectible. Some of the features would let the digital collectible streams you 🍞ROTIx as soon as you collect it. Or when it changes hands, the stream follows the new owner 🤝🏼
As per project, the perks that come with digital collectibles may vary. It’s all up to the creators’ offer at any given time 😅
Just like playing physical trading cards, this allows collectors to trade the digital collectible for whatever reason, or rig the game 😶🌫️
The ‘block’ that is inherently built on “OFFS8” digital collectible features the ability for collectors to;
◉ +10% boost their current ROTIx stream
◉ automatically cancel the boost when it changes hands
Previously in 🛰️SLATANWORLD🌐, WAH by GARD WUZGUT releases offers 10% share of the track’s royalty collections to their digital collectible owners. With “OFFS8” digital collectible, the same perks may be offered.
More info will be out soon…
All and all, what Slatan is trying to do is to find the infinite excitement that drives us to create and craft something, especially in music. Having the autonomy to build blocks on top of something, it will forever be stimulating and exciting for the creatives. And just to make things more complicated…
‘Til next…
