Summer of 24: A Season of Growth

For us at Talent Protocol, summer was a whirlwind season of building, learning, and rewarding our community, and we’re proud to look back on how far we’ve come—and what’s still ahead.

A Summer of Celebration and Rewards

Our “Summer of Talent” campaign was designed to celebrate and reward both onchain builders and early believers. Through the Builderdrop, we distributed 30M $TALENT tokens to those who have consistently put skin in the game.

Participants received up to 3x rewards in $TALENT, depending on their Builder Score, encouraging more engagement with our ecosystem.

But this campaign wasn’t just about the numbers—it was about bringing together a growing community of builders to share in Talent Protocol’s journey and mission.

A Summer of Fast Growth

We’ve seen remarkable growth across all key areas, over the past months:

  • 1.1M+ onchain builders are now tracked through Talent Protocol, with more than half already issued Talent Passports.

  • Our growth has averaged 25% month-over-month, demonstrating the steady rise in builders using and benefiting from our ecosystem.

  • We’ve expanded 40+ data integrations, enabling more precise tracking and reputation building.

  • More than 20 apps have already integrated with our Talent API to power their products.

  • We’ve reached a combined 300K+ followers across all our social channels (Twitter, Farcaster, Discord, Telegram).

This upward trajectory reaffirms our belief that the market is hungry for a professional reputation system that’s open, verifiable, and focused on builders.

Lessons from the Builderdrop

Our Builderdrop was the highlight of the summer, distributing 30M $TALENT to both onchain builders and early supporters. While it was a success, we learned valuable lessons along the way:

  1. Don’t promise what you can’t fully control – The market sets the scene, and it's important to manage expectations accordingly.

  2. Clarity is key – We realized the eligibility criteria and $TALENT allocation could’ve been communicated more clearly to ensure everyone was on the same page.

  3. A public leaderboard could’ve boosted engagement – A shared community leaderboard would’ve added an extra layer of transparency and competition, making the campaign even more engaging.

Other Summer Memories

Besides the Builderdrop, we’ve had other memorable moments this summer:

  • Talent Protocol awarded 10 scholarships for EthCC in Brussels.

  • We partnered with Base and BUILD for the Onchain Summer Buildathon, rewarding builders for their participation.

  • We had the honor of attending Basecamp, Base’s first IRL gathering in California.

  • Lastly, we made the strategic decision to sunset Builderfi, to ensure our focus remains on our core mission. You can read more about it here.

What’s Next: $TALENT TGE

As we wrap up the Summer of Talent, we’re excited to share that the $TALENT Token Generation Event (TGE) is confirmed for late October.

After 3+ years of hard work, Talent Protocol is in its strongest position ever. With over 1.1M+ Talent Passports issued and growing partnerships with major players, we’re just getting started. The TGE will be a critical milestone in building an open, verifiable professional reputation system for the new internet.
