Unitap Introduction

Getting started to use a network requires a tiny amount of its native token for gas fees. Also, sometimes, owning a small amount of a community token is needed to be included in that community. It always has been a problem for the projects and users at the starting point. Many of these networks and communities would like to drop a tiny amount of their token to help the users use their service easier. But the problem with the current faucets is that they’re not Sybil resistant.

Unitap solves this problem using BrightID. So networks and communities can give some amount of their token to onboard users without being worried about getting attacked by a bot.

Gas Tap

In Gas Tap, any network can drop their native token. No matter they are EVM, Non-EVM, or test net. Given that no user uses many networks simultaneously, We limit the number of networks that each user can claim. This restriction is based on the user’s BrightID verification. Let’s imagine that we have 20 networks on Unitap, “Meet” verified users are limited to claim 3 of them. “Bitu” verified users are limited to claim 5, and “Aura” verified users are limited to claim 7.

Token Tap

Token Tap is going to be a place where any kind of tokens can be distributed in. You can distribute an NFT collection to some specified addresses. You can also distribute a token as UBI to all BrightID verified users.

Future Plans

We’ll add more networks to Gas Tap such as Bitcoin Lightning Network. Also, we’ll reach out to some EVM networks like Polygon, BSC, etc, and ask them to join us. In the case of Token Tap, we are going to work on its mechanism.
