The Smurfs’ Society is the official Web3 project of the Smurfs. They’re bringing the Smurfs’ values to Web3 with one of the most ambitious NFT collections created by any brand. In February 2023, just two months after launching their innovative on-chain game, they have over 82k wallets connected to their app, making it onto DappRadar’s Top100 list of active Web3 communities. Their mission is to harness the power of digital communities and unite collective interests with individual rewards to inspire, fund and drive positive actions for our blue planet.
To celebrate their arrival on the Web3 stage, world-renowned artist André Saraiva is joining the Smurfs’ Society in a live art performance on Saturday, Feb 25th at NFT Paris to paint a giant 3-meter-tall Smurf statue along with ten smaller statues (40 cm) printed from recycled plastic.
During the event, Rarible.com, one of the world’s leading NFT marketplaces for communities and creators, will host the auctions for seven of these statues. The “André Saraiva Smurf Collection” will be sold through English auctions, giving bidders the opportunity to own one of these incredible pieces of art. The auctions will sell NFTs representing the physical works of art.
André spent half of his childhood in Paris, where he started graffiti at the age of 13 and developed his signature style on the streets of this iconic city. André’s work is now easily recognizable, and his masterpieces can be found all over the world. He is known for his iconic street art and graffiti as well as his collaborations with major brands and designers. His work is highly sought-after by collectors and art enthusiasts around the world.
The Smurfs’ Society is honored to have André as their guest at NFT Paris to officially announce the Legendary PFP Collection and to demonstrate their commitment to leveraging NFTs for positive action. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charities and organizations that are dedicated to preserving our blue planet. Additionally, the plastic used in the statues is sourced from recycling bins like the ones placed around the NFT Paris event. A demonstration of the 3D printing will be held at The Smurfs’ Society’s booth on Feb 24th.
The highest bidders for each NFT will be able to claim the physical statues painted by André. Once the statues are claimed, the original NFTs will be burned and later replaced by an official NFT, designed by André, from the Smurfs’ Society Legendary PFP collection.
This NFT auction will precede the sale of the Legendary PFP collection in Spring 2023. In addition to exceptional collaborations with prominent artists and partnerships with dozens of exclusive Web3 communities, the Smurfs’ Society PFPs will grant their owners access to an innovative, collaborative platform to source and finance initiatives to protect our Blue planet.
The Smurfs and André are both committed to funding positive actions for good. That’s why a portion of the proceeds of both auctions will be donated to charities funding environmental action. All statues are printed using recycled plastic to highlight the importance of sustainability and the need for action against pollution and climate change. The plastic used in the statues is sourced from recycling bins like the ones placed around the NFT Paris event, so please remember to recycle!
