London police block 43 encrypted phishing websites

Pete O'Doherty, interim commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police (NFIB), revealed that the NFIB discovered a fake email address purportedly from the encryption website Blockchain.com. Authorities discovered that an additional 42 domain names were registered, including "actionfraud.info" and "depart-fraud.com," and blocked the addresses as soon as they were discovered.

A certain wallet just transferred 5 million IDs (approximately $3.1 million) to Binance 15 minutes ago. These tokens were allocated from the Space ID token allocator contract 16 days ago. They appear to be investors in the Space ID project, but it is unclear whether they are related to the Amber Group.

According to the official website of Astar Network, the Polkadot ecological smart contract platform, Deloitte Tohmatsu announced that its NFT development tools are compatible with the Astar zkEVM blockchain managed by Astar Network and Startale Labs. Deloitte Japan has developed a baseball-themed NFT gaming application, a project based on the Astar zkEVM. The game includes a digital baseball batting practice system that allows players to earn NFT "badges," adding a new growth element to the experience of young players improving their batting skills. The initiative is part of Deloitte’s “Sports × Technology Utilization Promotion Practice”, which aims to enhance sports through technology and data.

Ramp launches ID-free cryptocurrency onboarding program to boost cryptocurrency adoption

Ramp has launched a proof-of-identification-free cryptocurrency onboarding program to promote cryptocurrency adoption. Initially launched in Brazil, users only need to provide a tax ID number and a selfie to participate, rather than submitting a photo of a government ID. This change is intended to lower the barrier to entry and drive mass adoption of digital currencies.

Hong Kong successfully issued multi-currency digital green bonds worth approximately HK$6 billion

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government announced the successful issuance of digital green bonds worth approximately HK$6 billion. This is the world’s first multi-currency digital bond issuance, including Hong Kong dollars, RMB, US dollars and euros. These bonds have a two-year term, and the amount and interest rate are priced at: HKD 2 billion (3.800%), RMB 1.5 billion (2.900%), USD 200 million (4.749%), and EUR 80 million (3.647%). The offering attracted subscriptions from institutional investors worldwide, including major asset managers, banks, insurance companies and private banks, as well as non-financial institutional corporates. This is the second issuance of digital bonds after the first issuance of tokenized green bonds by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government in February 2023.

The Ethereum Foundation announced the establishment of the EPF (Ethereum Protocol Fellowship) research group. EPF aims to lower the barrier to entry for developers interested in the core protocol. The EPF research group lasts for 10 weeks (February 19th to April 29th) and is intended to serve as the precursor to the Ethereum EPF. The EPF group aims to mentor and educate the next generation of Ethereum core developers and provide in-depth knowledge of Ethereum’s internal mechanisms. Topics explored by the research team include protocol design, execution and consensus layer architecture, specification and implementation, testing methods and tools, and current research and roadmap projects.

On-chain analyst Ember tweeted that a whale/institutional investor withdrew 23,6779 AAVE from Binance at $74.4 per share between January and October 2023, and transferred 200,000 2 hours ago ($16.7M) AAVE has been transferred back to Binance, so all AAVE has been transferred back to Binance. If the investor sells, his investment income on AAVE will reach approximately $2.23M (+12%). Stratis: StratisEVM test network "Auroria" is now online

Blockchain technology company Stratis announced on its official blog that it has launched the Stratis EVM test network "Auroria". The Auroria network is a public test network that imitates the characteristics of the main network that will be launched in March. Additionally, Stratis has allocated an airdrop of 1 million STRAXEVM tokens to users who interact with Stratis using Galxe during this testnet phase.

Survey: 84% of investors predict Bitcoin will hit new highs after halving

A survey covering nearly 10,000 global investors showed that as Bitcoin approaches its halving, 84% of participants expect Bitcoin to exceed its all-time high price of $69,000. The survey also revealed optimism among investors in Latin America, East Asia and Southeast Asia. Furthermore, the study found that 70% of investors plan to increase their cryptocurrency holdings in 2024, while 55% of participants predict that Bitcoin will stabilize between $50,000 and $100,000 during the next bull run.
