📣 Communication

Communication is key to your success here. Check out our community guide on Communication before you begin.

👋 Introduce yourself

Introduce yourself in the Academy. This is a must. Be noticed - Light up the sky 🌟, don’t let anyone not-notice you arrive ✨

  • Who are you?
  • What are your passions, hobbies, interests?
  • Why and how did you get here?
  • What are you interested in?
  • Who are you interested in connecting with?
  • What skills -if any- can you offer to other members?
  • Where can we follow you? Insta, Twitter?

Grow and Learn

Onboarding

If your application for residency is accepted you will be invited to Onboarding. This should take 5 days maximum. ç

The EOM

The Events Operations Manual (EOM) collects all the information you could possibly need to be an amazing Manager. Please read it carefully, and raise questions about it in the Academy or weekly scrum.

Scrums ⏰

Every Week, alternating between Friday 12AM and Tuesday 12PM GMT. Let’s get to know each other! Scrums are our time to speak face to face, listen to each other, learn about each others progress and try to answer questions others may have. More here…

Ask for help

Don’t ask - don’t get. We’re here to help. Ask questions, don’t suffer in shyness!

Use Google

Don’t be that guy/gal who asks “what does the flag for Iran look like?”. If you do, you’ll probably get what you deserve :)

Help Others, Be Supportive.

Great ways to raise your presence in the group

  1. Give new members a warm welcome. Give them with your personal intro.
  2. Have a go at answering peoples questions
  3. Even if you don’t know, let them know ‘hey that’s a great question’!

Presence Level

Nobody is checking on you, only you. Be aware of your presence level. If it’s high you will find many friends in your time of need. If to the contrary, it can feel a bit intimidating to speak.
