As the Celo ecosystem is about to enter its next phase with the launch of CEL2 in January, CeloPG is excited to host the second Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RPGF) program: The Celo Citizen Retro. This round aims to recognize and reward individual contributions to the Celo ecosystem until December 20th, 2024.

GG21 marked a significant milestone for Celo. It was the first time that Gitcoin Grants Stack was fully deployed on the Celo blockchain. Kicking off this milestone, Celo Public Goods (CeloPG) supported and managed two key funding rounds: Real World Builders and Regen Coordi-Nation Genesis. Both rounds focused on empowering projects that aim to create real-world solutions and impact, in alignment with Celo’s mission of building infrastructure for financial inclusion and prosperity for all.

Celo Public Goods (CeloPG) in collaboration with Gitcoin, ReFi DAO, and Greenpill Network, are excited to announce the deployment of the Gitcoin Grants stack on the Celo blockchain and the initiation of two rounds focused on building real world solutions.

The Giv-Earth round is the first environment-focused quadratic funding round on Giveth – a Crypto donations platform that rewards donors for giving to verified public goods projects. Having facilitated nearly $3M worth of donations from over 15,000 givers, Giveth has become a leading platform for crypto-native giving.

​Celo Public Goods and the Climate Collective are excited to announce a collective commitment of 50,000 cUSD matching to Celo projects participating in the Climate Solutions Round hosted by the Climate Coordination Network (CCN) during Gitcoin Grants 20. Any Climate and ReFi project developing on Celo will be eligible for the Celo matching in addition to their share of the existing $250,000 in the round.
