Crypto has gained more hype, awareness and entrepreneurial attention in 2021 than any of the previous years. Everyone’s talking about potential use cases for NFT’s, bored apes and metaverse real estate. There’s one thing that everyone seems to be missing. It’s incredibly obvious what it is, that’s probably the reason everyone is missing it.

As society grows the need for systems that govern behavior arises. This makes sense. If there are ways for people to take advantage of others, they’ll do it. The systems we use are meant to stop this from happening. They’ve done a decent job at it so far. Despite whatever is going on in the world, we’re still here and most of us are healthy.

We’ve all seen the bitcoin chart. Zooming out from the past 10 years you see price go up in a very erratic pattern. The trend is obvious. The price might crash, but will still be higher than the previous bear market. It’s going to keep climbing. The provable scarcity, thanks to the elegance of the proof of work algorithm, is part of what keeps it that way.
