For the rollout of our Beta V2 application, we wanted to celebrate the core motivation behind Reveel: enabling better collaboration. So we decided to launch an NFT collaboration competition, in order to give creators an opportunity to work with new partners, explore outside of their comfort zone, and discover new tools that facilitate collaboration.
Celebrating Collaboration
The result of the Reveel Creator Grant Feature Competition was a success! The competition, which ran from February 20 to March 14, attracted hundreds of creators and collectors, and generated total earnings of over $20,000 for artists!
This case study demonstrated the power of collaboration as a way for artists to grow, along with the power of communities coming together to discover and support new artists.
During the competition, a total of 57 collaborative NFT projects were minted on a bespoke interface integrating Decent x Reveel. We saw an impressive 373 unique collectors involved in supporting the various projects. A total of 1,747 NFTs were minted in the span of 7 days, generating an impressive $15,500 for participating creators. Total creator earnings increased to $20,500 once the prize money of $5000 was included.
The competition also revealed itself as a great way for artists to be discovered. Collectors were able to discover, listen & mint new artists through our vote.r3vl.xyz page. Through this discovery page as well as through the Oohlala playlist, a majority of creators got new collectors, helping them expand their web3 community.
A moment in Music NFT history
The Reveel Creator Grant felt like a moment in the early story of Music NFTs - the community was buzzing! Artists collaborated with new partners, they held Twitter Spaces to talk about their work, and came up with new marketing strategies to connect & attract collectors. On the other side, collectors and builders, came together to support their favorite projects and to help emphasize & highlight the amazing submissions.
The campaign generated impressive social reach. We estimate that the total impressions, across all participating artists surpassed 1.5 M impressions. Reveel alone received a whooping 750K twitter impressions and 2,150 mentions, helping raise awareness around the competition and the artists participating. Our flagship partner, Decent, received over 2,300 social mentions during the course of the competition, which further emphasized the power collaboration between communities.
We were also thrilled to see the Reveel Creator Grant competition reach large sectors within the music NFT space. The results were far greater than we could have ever anticipated, which affirms the belief that collaboration powers the web3 creator economy by amplifying creators across multiple communities. Partnering to provide more value to creators
In the spirit of collaboration, Reveel wanted to bring in other builders in the web3 music ecosystem to help amplify the competition and provide further value to the participating creators.
We integrated the Reveel Revenue Share Protocol with the Decent Open Edition smart contract, allowing creators to set up revenue shares while creating their NFT collection. Creators can continue to use Reveel & Decent to manage their collaborative releases.

Shout out to Oohlala for creating a playlist with all the submissions and access to directly mint from the playlist itself! The competition allowed us to introduced new users to the Reveel platform, as well as to all our brand partners.
