A cry for help for Isla Gorgona
Gorgona Island, is a paradise in which a prison was imposed, already closed 37 years ago. Since then, thanks to its protection as a National Natural Park and the participation of local communities, scientists, students, divers and visitors, it has been recovering naturally. Currently the Park is recognized as one of the best preserved protected areas in Colombia and the world.
Behind the song DANUBIO
I love to travel, especially to ecological destinations. I feel that I have a special connection with nature, essentially with water. This is the reason many of my songs are inspired by travel, and every time I come from one, I come back with new learnings, with my mind more open, and my creativity refreshed.
Why Coquena?
Coquena is a foundation dedicated to the rescue and recovery of animals, located in a small town in Colombia called: Roldanillo - Valle del Cauca. Because my father was born in this town, and I have always been an animal lover, my sister and I have been helping this foundation for several years, since they have very few resources and there's still a lack of education against animal abuse… so it's very common to hear cases of abandonment and abuse.
