Over the past week DAO Committee Members have responded to a series of community-led questions in the #🗳️dao-committee-elections channel. Conversations have centered on the extent and significance of diverse representation on Decentraland’s DAO Committee, as well as on the specific skill sets and vision of each applicant. DAO Committee applicants will have an opportunity to speak directly with community members at the upcoming Town Hall on Thursday, January 26th.

Hello, community. Here is Zino from the Grant Support Squad. I wanted to write this article to clarify the spirit behind our actions last month, which had generated conflict in our DAO’s discord channel. We arrived at the conclusion that we, as a core unit, needed to improve our communication with the DAO to foster transparency regarding the processes of improving the Grants Program.

On June 16, 2022, a binding governance proposal “For Decentraland Daily Active Users: MANA incentives for USDC-ICE LP” passed by a slim margin, with approximately 6M VP (56%, 151 votes) in favor and 5M VP (44%, 40 votes) against. The proposal called for allocation of “$1mm USD worth of MANA to provide rewards for the ICE-USDC liquidity pool on QuickSwap.” The proposal - both during its voting period and after its passage - sparked significant debate within the community.
