The real literary education

lungan
March 24
The real literary education does not read many books and know some literary theories and historical facts, but in the cultivation of pure interest. I have a bad temper in my life. Every time I go to the market, I want to buy something. I cannot keep the last penny in my purse, no matter how worthless a piece of iron or copper may be, so long as I am pleased with it. The same is true for me in learning. Leaving Shelley one day to watch the smoke drum and measure reaction, leaving Plato the next to trace the origins of the "Gothic" cathedrals in the dark and winding tombs of ancient Rome. I have been a student for thirty years, the thirty years of time is so east to play a punch west to kick the past. Under the modern social system and the state of learning, the existence of encyclopedic scholars is no longer possible, and one must choose one of many equally interesting paths. This has become the unwritten constitution of the academic world, so the first time the scholars meet, there are some pleasantry, "Which subject do you study?" "Liberal arts." 'Which one? "Literature." If the questioner also studies literature, then "Which country's literature? Which aspect? Which era? Which author?" And then the questions began to creep in. I have been repeatedly questioned in this manner, and though I have answered as usual, I have always felt a little ashamed. Why am I a literary scholar? Let alone which aspect and which era of literature? Among the many mispaths, I also stumbled upon the path of literature, which was quite a laugh. My determination to study literature is entirely due to a misunderstanding of the meaning of the word. Among the little intellectuals I came into contact with as a child, the word "literature study" had only two popular meanings: one had written a few poems, published a few articles, and even translated a few of Aesop's fables or Andersen's fairy tales. Secondly, it is also "studying literature" to hum poems and read articles, or to read novels. When I was young, I was also happy to hum poetry, reading articles, think that poetry published articles solid dare not look at the dust, if the cloud hum poetry reading text that study literature, then I also dare to let more? That's a big reason I got into literature. Who knows the mere meaning of the misinterpretation of my time! After I went to Europe and saw the work of Western "literature researchers" and all their preparations, I understood the metaphor of Zhuangzi sighing as he looked across the ocean, and I realized that "literature research" is not as easy as I had thought, especially not as interesting as I had thought. Literature is not a straight road to the horizon, you can go straight ahead, you can come to the extreme. "The study of literature" also requires many detours and many dry and hard work. If you have learned English, you have learned French; if you have learned French, you have learned German, Greek, Italian, Indian, and so on; The context of The Times often draws you into the realm of historical philosophy and religion; The principles of art force you to study pictures, music, aesthetics, psychology, and so on. There is no way to settle this lawsuit! Friends who study science often envy the happiness of literary scholars who can sing poems and read novels at leisure every day, unlike themselves who have to bury themselves in memorizing dry formulas and searching dry facts. In fact, I have a bitter heart can not say, if I had known that the "study of literature" would have to run here and there, regret it is better to learn a craft, for the future self-reliance. I still keep in mind the idea of learning to make children's toys or rattan weaves. Learn to do children's toys or rattan ware, I can still hum poetry read articles, but meet the general people for "literature" who "specialized in what?" The problem can be rightly brushed aside. What a relief it was! My remarks do not mean to be rude to many people who are preparing for doctoral dissertations in foreign universities, but to the ordinary young people in China. Young people are bound to have a penchant for literature and art like me, and in the modern Chinese style of learning, they may not be bound to "study literature" by humming poetry and reading articles like me. If, like me, they misinterpret the meaning of a word and go astray, they will certainly regret it one day. Literature and art, like history and philosophy, are like pyramids, which need to lay a very broad and cumbersome foundation before they can gradually build up a spire. If you start with the intention of creating a spire, the result will be collapse. For half a century, Chinese scholars have been in contact with Western literary and artistic thought and politics and religion, but they remain estranged from each other. The reason must be attributed to the fact that they only look to the pinnacle rather than the foundation. In literature, art, philosophy, and history, the terms "specialty" and "research work" are hardly words in today's China. This is just a warning from already-losers to future winners. If you are not committed to the basic work, hum poetry reading articles can be, casually pretentious poetry published a few articles can also, just don't "study literature". Like I spent twenty or thirty years of time to go back to learn rattan rattan do children's toys, you say it is not unfair!

a pair of eyes to see the world's suffering

March 01
Once, I was sitting directly opposite my grandparent and grandson on the subway line 2. Look closely, the little boy's face is not very good, Grandma is holding a medicine bag in her hand, it seems that they have just been to the hospital. The grandmother raised her hand and put it gently on her grandson's forehead. "Oh, it's still burning," she said with a smile. "I'll take my medicine after dinner." Blinking his big eyes, the little boy replied, "Well, it still seems to be burning. But grandmother, how did you know I wasn't well?" Seeing this, I immediately imagined several responses my grandmother might give, such as, "You get to know when you're old," or "Of course Grandma knows." My hasty guess turned out to be completely off the mark. "Well, sicker people find sick people," she said, smoothing her little grandson's messy bangs. People who have been injured always know better the depth, width and pain of the wound. So when someone else sees a similar scar on their body or heart, the injured person is more likely to empathize with it. Those scars in the heart gave them a pair of eyes to see the world's suffering. Maybe that's what grandma wants to tell her grandson.

Modern people

Modern people use latitude and longitude to locate every location on the planet, from landmarks like the Forbidden City and the Eiffel Tower to your home and business. The idea is that each location corresponds to only one set of numbers. We often marvel at the wonders of modern information technology. In fact, Chinese medicine also has a positioning system. No matter what physical symptoms, psychological discomfort, no matter which organ, which part of the problem, we can retrieve this positioning system, find the idea and way to eliminate the disease. This positioning system is the meridian system proposed in the Huangdi Neijing. The twelve channels and collaterals system in Huangdi Neijing can be regarded as a very primitive medical positioning system, and also the most advanced positioning system. It's primitive because it was discovered by ancient people in a way that we don't know about anymore. Some Qigong practitioners believe that ancient sages and famous doctors studied the laws of nature through retreats, which are called "inner view".

Western classical music

December 21
I don't claim to be an authority on Western classical music, because I haven't studied it, I just enjoy listening to it whenever I can. I listened without a system, without learning track by track in the order of music history. I had never made such an effort, especially when I saw the journals of classical music lovers such as La La Magazine, and I felt inadequate. Fans have a lot of knowledge that I don't understand, but I always believe that I love Western classical music in my own way, for its own reasons, and don't worry about lack of knowledge. That's number one. Second, I have a fundamental belief that music is not listened to with the head, but with the heart. When we listen to it with our head, we are trying to understand the form, the structure of the work, how a theme first appears and then develops and reproduces, or the form in three paragraphs, or the form in fugue in turn in different parts, or the form in roundabout, and so on. That's the mind listening, hearing a "flowing architecture." But that's not the way I like music, that's the expert attitude. I never take the attitude of experts, because art is not for the service of experts, not the secret of the profession. Music belongs to the society, to the nation, to mankind, to the fate of mankind. Music is an expression of our perceived destiny. But today, I'm afraid that's not the way people look at music. Today's attitude toward music may miss the essence of music. Of course, music as entertainment is OK. Music comforts our mind, catharsis our emotions, and achieves a certain psychological effect. But music is not made for that. What you do with music is your business, no one else's. A cafe owner with Beethoven in the background can do this. But when I'm sitting in a cafe and I hear Beethoven, I go into a trance, and then the coffee is out of sight, and I have to rush back to listen to Beethoven.

getting to know

December 13
I've noticed that the process of "getting to know" a fear is similar to the pain stage. This is easy to understand because something in you dies, a negative attitude to fear. And its demise is bound to bring pain. On top of that, the "walls" that are supposed to protect you from fear are threatening to collapse. The following stages may or may not occur in overcoming fear. Stage 1 begins with shock. Many people don't want to admit that they do carry a lot of "fear baggage" that is seriously hindering their lives. It may take a few days to get over the shock. Just let them live, and when you're ready, they'll pass. Stage 2 is followed by depression. This can be related to anxiety or depression. Most people think about things at this stage, and so do I. Accept it slowly, because the feeling of depression will pass, and it is a good process. This shows that you are serious about overcoming these difficulties. Stage 3 Now, the possibility of accepting this reality becomes clearer. A new positive attitude is emerging. You can see how your fears limit you. And what it would mean to you if you weren't so scared. Your life will be completely different and you will gradually realize your dream instead of letting it become a fantasy. You finally dare to ride a roller coaster or go skydiving. More and more things you are willing to try, and you will come to expect them. When you get over your fear, what do you expect? What big wish, dream, or goal do you have? The only thing I can promise you is this: While I can't guarantee that your desires for happiness and fulfillment will come true, you will slowly move closer to those dreams when your fears are no longer holding you back, because many of these fears are the sole reason people don't achieve what they want. Not because: • Lack of motivation: A lot depends on your imagination for your dream. • Lack of money: There are many ways to get money to fulfill your desires, but you may not know it right now. • Social factors: People who are not supportive of your goals should be questioned about their place in your life. • Intellectual issues: Creativity and passion do not require intelligence, but dedication and interest. What do you think is holding you back from making a decision? Or have your fears taken over so much that you don't even know your dreams, goals, and desires?

When night came

December 13
Is there still a little shining firefly in our hearts that can transmit the most subtle thoughts? Firefly sat by a lake in the col for dinner. When night came, a cool evening breeze blew over the lake. Only in early summer season, the southern islands Ru wet hot in the day. Rare this lakeside breeze, the clutter and worry blow clean. Like a mirror of the lake, a piece of empty, reflecting the outline of the surrounding hills. The early moon rises, the water mountains are full of the moon. The residents of the city were in great panic because of the epidemic. Epidemics are sudden and spread quickly. The virus is nowhere to be found, drugs to fight it are still being developed, and the number of deaths is increasing day by day. Everyone is scared to be infected, suspected people around the virus, do not know whether they will be the next person affected by the virus. Zhuzi, I think of the Buddhist sutra often said "ignorance", I do not know whether it is a kind of indescribable fear. Fear often doesn't need a reason. In fact, people are destined to die from birth. Man is born in a phenomenon that includes death. Are we afraid of death? Fear of death is also a kind of "ignorance". We fear only because we know so little.

I had a revelation about destiny on a rainy day

December 06
When I was young, I had a revelation about destiny on a rainy day. The long rain of the day nourished all the hunger in me. I realized that fate is like trees and flowers. The process of growing from seed to flower is an internal unfolding, not a predetermined schedule, filled with the desired hours of fulfillment, without the hardships of life at all. Over the years, I have experienced the world again and again -- in the world of tall buildings, people hold up their dreams like umbrellas, they want to be able to touch each other's hearts. And all of this actually hinders our inner growth, preventing us from growing into the person we were meant to be. Because no matter how talented we are and how eager we are to build, we can't really go anywhere but stretch and bloom like orchids. I have found that no matter how small my accomplishments, if I neglect my natural calling, I lose sight of my growth as a soul, that my daily labors are meant to produce rather than to grow, and that all the effort to win the approval of others eventually wears me down, especially when the approval of others is the source of my life. Peace of mind comes from being in one's place and perceiving our connection to the larger universe, and the effort to make others remember us can drain our energy. When we avoid taking risks out of fear of failure, and persist in doing things out of fantasy about the future, we are prone to burnout. In fact, our mission is very simple, as long as we are constantly rooted in the earth under our feet, to extend their branches towards the sun. It is not easy to put down deep roots under one's feet and try to grow from them, but our journey in life will be much easier if we can understand that the core truth is actually revealed through proximity. This inside-out destiny is a conversation between the heart and the core truth, a flower blossoming in a conversation with the drizzle.

You may be eager to get your running shoes ready

You may be eager to get your running shoes ready, but don't worry, it might help to know how to exercise scientifically. Effective exercise is not about "torturing" yourself at a high intensity, or strolling around outdoors. It's about maintaining a proper heart rate. In terms of aerobic exercise for weight loss and weight loss, the professional recommendation is that the heart rate should be maintained between 60% and 80%, just at the edge of the body's comfort zone, and half an hour of activity every day can produce excellent results.

Disentangle your worries

November 21
Disentangle your worries, remove your emotional ambiguities Cognitive ambiguities come from within, emotional ambiguities come from outside. People face all kinds of troubles every day, but most of them are used to passive suffering, few people are willing to take the initiative to face. Bert Hellinger, a German psychotherapist, once described people's attitude to trouble in this way: It is easier to suffer than to solve problems, to suffer misfortune than to enjoy happiness. This is very much in keeping with the human nature of not thinking. Because it takes brain power to solve problems, it takes brain power to balance delicate relationships to enjoy happiness, and it takes brain power to stay stuck in pain. Although passive suffering also costs a lot of energy, people are genetically programmed not to use energy actively, so Meituan founder Wang Xing's statement resonated with many: Most people will do anything to avoid real thinking. But avoiding the pain doesn't make it go away. Instead, it drives it into the subconscious and becomes a vague feeling. And once the specific event is blurred, its boundary will be infinitely expanded, and the small things that are not difficult will also become difficult to solve in the fuzzy subconscious. It feels like listening to the sound of "countless frogs" in the pond, which makes people very upset. When you really can't help it, you go to have a look, only to find that there are only a few frogs. The real difficulty is much less than imagined. The root cause of procrastination, confusion, fear and fear is often not the difficulty of the task itself, but the blurring of the inner thoughts. Just as the nameless fear that makes us shudder before the 3K test, we find that the 3K test is no more than that once we start running and have to confront it head-on. If we can be more positive and learn to look at it, unpick it, and see it from the start, maybe that tension won't bother us and we can even "enjoy" the game. But some things, once in the subconscious mind, can be difficult to erase. For example, bad experiences from childhood, long forgotten by the conscious mind, remain in the subconscious mind and secretly influence our character and behavior. Some patients with severe depression or mental disorders sometimes need to undergo hypnosis therapy, and all the methods used by psychohypnotists in the treatment are really only to achieve one thing: to awaken the subconscious painful events, so that the patient can face it again, see it, and thus completely resolve it. Remember, no painful event, no matter how small, will go away. The only way not to be troubled by it is to face it, to see it, to unpick it, to dissolve it, not to give it a chance to enter the subconscious, not to give it a chance to blur; Even if it's already in the subconscious, find a way to dig it out. So when you feel that unexplainable, unexplainable feeling in your heart, sit down and ask yourself a question. · What makes you irritable? Is it getting up on stage to give a speech, meeting someone, or just having your head in the clouds? · What specifically makes you fearful? Is it a lack of ability, preparation, or fear of something happening? · What can I do in the face of difficulties? What can't you do? What's the worst that can happen if you fail or screw up? Dig down one layer at a time until you can't dig any more. Open acknowledgment and acceptance of unmentionable thoughts makes emotions extremely transparent. While confronting your emotions won't make the pain go away, or even worsen it in the short term, it will allow you to take control of the situation, or at least not be intimidated by your emotions. Fear is a bully. If you avoid it, it will open its teeth and claw. If you face it, it will show its true shape. Once you see it clearly, the emotion will slowly dissipate from your subconscious mind and your life will feel better.
