In the heat of August 2020, I challenged myself to spend an hour per day (or per night, per middle of the dark of night, let's be honest) making music. I did it for about a month straight. This song was one of the artifacts I created, discovered from thin air, over that period of time.

I actually finished writing most of this back on March 8th, but for whatever reason Mirror wasn’t letting me mint at the time. I’ve been minting my creative process weekly for months, and this week the gas fees were around triple their usual on Zora - so I thought I’d try minting this week’s song “Past Lives (V2 dem0)” on OpenSea. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to upload this adjacent \[+ important!] description successfully, so I’ve shared it here on Mirror in lieu. It ended up being a happy accident, as this medium has actually allowed me to add supporting photo artifacts - an unexpected perk!

Decades of ever-accelerating technological innovations have missed the single most instrumental component to our survival as a species: a focus on evolving our internal technologies. The issues we face as a society don’t need more gadgets or bandaid solutions; the issues we face need widely-adopted systems that promote humanity’s collective inner-evolution. Through advancements of heart-expansion, communal consideration, and an inner respect with no choice but to emanate outwards, human decision-making could pivot en-mass to uncover an ancient future where peace, equity, and regeneration flourish once again. Utilizing emergent technologies in the gaming, crypto, and DAO worlds, I’d like to propose a possible solution to humanity’s moral crisis: The Spiritual Incubator.
