Frameworks are useful to ramp up on new problem spaces quickly. With all the constant change in DeFi, I use a high level framework to understand who the major players are in the ecosystem and to ramp on developing new yield farming strategies.

There are a number of DeFi building blocks that are worth understanding in order to recognize patterns that are deployed on different chains or tweaked for the next stage of innovation. I’ll do a separate post with those frameworks at some point, but today’s article is about understanding the Curve Wars and their significance in the overall DeFi ecosystem. Getting started in Web3 can be daunting given how technical the space is. I originally put this content together for an audience that wanted to digest Web3 with only about 15-30 min per day. But, I think the content should be applicable for anyone trying to get into the space.

There are a lot of great DeFi resources out there, but I’ve struggled to find one that gives a high level market overview and frameworks for how to identify different patterns in DeFi. The goal of this primer is to help you navigate the problem space, and give you pointers for starting your DeFi adventure.
